Issues finding matches on university internet, p2p possibly being blocked?

So I recently went back out of state for college and I tried picking Tekken back up, but whenever I'm on my school's network the number of players in I encounter in matchmaking plummets. My internet is wired and the speed is roughly 90-100 mbps upload and download speeds and the ping is very good, so that isn't an issue. However the school seems to limit peer to peer connection as a way to prevent torrenting. Has anyone else encountered these issues before, and is there any way around them? I appreciate any help or even just empathy for my problem to know I'm not alone in this lmao
