Steam Remote Play Together (Controller not working for the Client)

I've been trying to play TEKKEN 7 with some friends of mine, but without success, basically what happens is:

• My controller get recognized both in the game and in the SHIFT+TAB Remote play menù
  
• My friend can use his keyboard to use mine, so he's able to play with keyboard(but we want the controller to work!!)
  
• My friend controller APPEARS and get ASSIGNED in the SHIFT+TAB Remote play menù, but it doesn't work in the game...

What i've tried:

• Both restarting pc/internet/steam etc... nothing.
  
• Both deactivate/activate Steam Beta... nothing.
  
• Both trying to disconnect/reconnect controllers... nothing.
  
• Trying to configure the controllers on TEKKEN 7, nothing.
  
• Trying remote play with other games such as Brawhalla, AND IT WORKS! Both my controller and his, work perfectly as P1 and P2 on Brawlhalla!! But we can't still get it to work on TEKKEN 7...
  
• Opening the game from BIG PICTURE(and setting up the controllers on BIG PICTURE)... nothing.
  
• Deactivate/activate Direct Input from the game propreties(from steam)... nothing...
  
• We tried Parsec, and everything worked "fine", but we get a lot of input lag and frameskips...

My Specs:

• RX 570 8gb VRAM
  
• 16GB Ram 3200mhz
  
• Ryzen 5 2600
  
• Mobo b450m ds3h

Conclusions:
Seems like Brawhalla works with steam remote play together FINE, but not tekken 7... we are not able to make HIS controller work on the game... please help us, i've been searching around YT/Steam Threads/ Tekken 7 Threads/ Reddit ... and found nothing...

P.s:
I've tried other games, and i got kinda confused, because the controller didn't work in everygame, even tho the games says it supports steam remote play together, and i've been watching people playing tekken 7 flawless with remote play together...

YOOOO I RANDOMLY SOLVED THE PROBLEM, but i don't know if it is possible for everyone...
So: i have a controller that can change into Xinput, Dinput and RAWinput... my friend has Xinput, when we had the controllers both connected, in the game ONLY Xinput was displayed, i changed mine to Dinput and 2 were recognized, but still not working...
So i told my friend to DISCONNECT THE CONTROLLER, and the game displayed "connect the controller and press START"... so he did, AND IT WORKED... i don't know if this helps, but i temporally fixed the problem...

Up for this. We're getting the same problem / experience. Keyboard works, but controller for the 2nd player wont.

and what controller he use?
did he use 3rd party program such as ds4win ?

So, i'm using a 40€ macro controller, it works both has Xinput Dinput e rawinput, but that's not the problem...
He uses a Xbox one controller, no ds4... but i tried with other friends that uses ds4(ps4 controller) and others with xbox X/S controller... the problem is tekken it's self...
In the options u can map only for the type of input it receive, for example:
The Xinput controller get recognized, and u can map controlls for it... but ME MYSELF connect another controller ON MY PC, it get recognized but in the options i still get ONE XINPUT controller... like, the game ALWAYS recognizes only one controller(?) but the others works anyway... so i don't know what's the problem...

Yeah me too... still no answers, i'll still try to update steam everyday and check if it is fixed

I'm having the same issue and still haven't found a solution.
The keyboard works fine but the controller connection for the guest does not work.
I have a fighting commander controller and it can switch between PC to PS3/4. In-game, it shows Xinput and "Fighting Commander" in button mapping when I go from PC to PS (it's a phsyical switch on the controller).
I will try the PS switch with my friend and report back if it fixes the issue.

As i said on the Edit, tell your friend to remove the controller, wait tekken to display "reconnect controller", and then tell him to connect it.. and the problem is fixed

You sir are a GODSEND. This method actually worked! No need to configure anything about the input type and what not. I just simply asked my friend to disconnect his controller in the character selection screen, and have him connect it again. Works like a charm!

No problems :) , I already reported the problem to steam... but so far this is the best method to temporally let the controller work... if any of you has problems, just ask there and i'll be happy to help you.
