Akuma - sidestep and don't let him get 30 feet away from you
Kunimitsu - block and punish
Lucky Chloe - block it? All rage moves are good
Eddy - you can learn how to deal with a good deal of his nonsense with about half an hour of practice
Eddy isn't dangerous unless you are 8 years old and playing tekken 3.
Kunimitsu is frustrating but you just have to block her mid strings. Her lows aren't anything to write home about.
I do agree with you about Akuma though, I don't rematch even when I win. I don't rematch non-tekken characters ever.
My main is King and my moveset is basically playing from the ground. I won against each Lucky Chloe I encountered still, but everytime is annoying since they always hit rage no matter what...
It's all about timing and the hitbox for her rage is different since mid-air means 100% hit.
About Akuma... I think also against Akuma I have high % of wins, but... Really? Is it fun to play with fireballs all time? It also charges the KO bar... NO SENSE!
Eddy and Kunimitsu, I can deal with them, infact I spam whenever they start spamming...
Anyway, the idea to block characters from matchmaking is not that bad imo.
King would be one of the first banned chars by anyone along with other lab chars. Be thankful there is no such thing so you have people to play with.
according to Harada
King is one of the most hated characters in the game, especially in lower to mid ranks, so depending on how many characters each player can ban, you may end up seeing as many matches as a Kuni player, aka, very few.
I got no problems using other characters, but most players I played against does.
As I said: it's not fun to use one single move.
I play fair and make a lot of different combos.
Please do not misunderstand... Game permit to spam and everything, and I'm not saying it's not allowed. All I want to understand is how you think I would rematch with you and why the game keep find the same match again and again... Not fun!
I wish people would stop exaggerating when they try and make a point, it just makes their case even more flimsy.
I'm willing to bet there isn't a single player that uses a single move in a match unless they're trolling you. They may use one move a lot because it's good, or may use a small amount of moves because that's their gameplan.
Even if these players did exist, it's clearly fun for them and doesn't even mention why you'd ban characters since it's the player choosing the amount of moves, not the character.
That's not even close to what your original post said.
Getting matched up against the person you just refused to rematch sucks, and is something the devs should look into, but allowing player to ban characters, in ranked no less, isn't the answer
It is complementary... There are two solutions for that:
-Character blacklist
-Showing nickname and character before you accept or refuse
That used to exist in season 1.
Was removed because certain characters would get next to no matches.
And pretty much as you were told, some players play one character because they have fun. There's a Xiaoyu main I know, he would legit not play Tekken if he couldn't play Xiaoyu. Should he be forced to not play the game because some people don't like Xiaoyu?
That's what you refuse to understand, if you show the character before the match, certain characters won't get matches.
If you're so pissed about a player, why not just show the player's name and not the character? That way people would still get matches and if you don't like them, you can choose not to rematch them.
Fair enough. I really would like to have that feature tho
We already know for a fact that a feature showing you the opponent's character before the match is bad, as again, we already had it and it got removed for being bad.
And even now there are players like this Lili, who held their name true.

That plug when again a character they don't like, but at least at how it's now, plugging still has a minor consequnce that you need to restart the game, so it becomes annoying if you do it too often, while others who just don't like the character, finish the match and don't rematch.
So yea, best compromise would be to only show name, but currently it's the best as it is. You don't get punished for plugging during loading screen, so you can do that, by the time you're back, you shouldn't be matched with the same person.
Tho I love being matched with people who run away after a match and teach them a lesson.
I would block every single character except King.
Then Tekken 7 would be perfect.
