S4 Save data won't save. Everytime I launch Tekken it says "Game updated"
As the title said, everytime I launch Tekken7 it would say "game's updated so replay will not available"- or something similar. And also "Tekken 7 v 4.00 update" on the menu screen. My rank was back to S3's rank. I've played a few sessions and ranked games, but it wont save on my computer and so my rank was back at S3's rank.. Anyone knows how to solve it? Appreciate it.

Things I've tried:
- Make the Tekken 7 Save data folder not "Read-only"
- Make the Tekken 7 Game folder not "Read-only"

SOLUTION FOUND

I assume this problem is caused by something "stuck" in user data folder.

So, here are the things you need to do:

1. Log out / exit steam completely (make sure steam is not running)
2. Go to steam installation folder, and delete a folder called "userdata", if you want to be safe just backup this folder first elsewhere.
3. Login to steam, right click Tekken 7 then hit Properties and disable steam cloud feature.
4. After logging in Tekken 7, create a customization of any character just so you would know if the game is saving or not.
5. Exit tekken and right click, properties, then enable cloud. Steam should ask you whether to upload local files or download files from the cloud. Choose upload local files to the cloud. (This is what we want since S3 rank is stuck at the cloud)
6. Launch Tekken 7 again and see whether your customization is there or not. If it is there, then the cloud has your local files (newer, S4).

IF YOU DO HAVE 2 ACCOUNTS SAME LIKE ME,

- After step 6, repeat again to step 1 and do it on the other account
- Yes, you need to re-delete the userdata folder again.
- After repeating this 6 steps, try to change accounts and launch Tekken 7. Do both of them has the same customization you just created? If yes, voila then it is fixed.
Any questions are welcome!

Did you try to
• backup(RAR/ZIP) your current safe...
• delete the Tekken folder in AppData/Local
• Start T7
• Check if the new safe is working how it should be....
If yes... try to replace the new files with your old backuped one

if your HDD corrupt it will happens again or your OS
first defrag your drive
second install new os
3rd low format your entire hdd (if your HDD new sometimes they failure to addressing it's happens to all HDD the old ones and new ones)
4rd sometimes hdd connector are failing
if power suplies getting weak or motherbaord failure could do errors
just do option 1 and 2 maybe 3 if your system new 4 and 5 doesn't matter

and my last opinion if your previous OS was 8 or 7 and you installed 10 the problem here:
8&7 use MBR method for partions and 10 use GPT...if you installed 10 on MBR your OS won't work perfectly for solve this use 3rd option

i hope they work for you

I haven't tried this method since I though it was risky, but since you recommended it I might try.. I'll let you know if it works!

I appreciate your comment but I dont think my SSD is corrupted, same as my OS. I researched on how to make a folder not read only and they mentioned updating Windows 10 sometimes will make this happen (folders are read only by default). I've been using the same SSD and Windows 10 for a long time and it doesn't have any issue with Tekken until season 3. This issue happened after updating to Season 4.
