TEKKEN 7
Why is match decline unpunished?
If I'm just finished fighting 3 or 5 rounds against the same person and decline another battle, it means I don't want to fight them again, Bumco. When a player declines, they refresh my matchmaking and guarantee I match up against the guy I just declined a rematch for. People decline a match constantly just so (I presume) they can get constant matches against some guy they have the upper hand on for easy ranks. How is this still a thing in 2020? It's astounding to me that this game's community takes itself seriously. Garbage content sold for $60 on release day, did never hold a candle to 6 or Tag 2, juggling game design gets worse and worse every installment and there's stuff like this for icing on the cake.

Put the freaking decliners on a 3 minute time out. It's so obvious they're trying to game the system.

Why is the problem? if people don't want to play with you there's nothing to do, just search another guy. I like Namco or steam (i really don't care who) penalize rage quit, that's a serious topic.
I said it quite clearly I'm not talking about the rematch but the blind match-ups. People clearly decline the first match and accept the 2nd to get paired with the player who they've reliably won against. It's a known exploit and Bumcoin couldn't care less. Because of this, I keep re-queuing into the same players that I already played 3 or 4 or 5 matches against in a row. It's incredibly jarring to go through load screens, hoping to match against a new player, only to have some random unknown player decline and the system match me up against the same person who've I just finished playing against.

If you decline against a green or blue internet status player, you should not be matched up with anyone for 3 minutes, as punishment for wasting people's time. Dota 2 bans you from matchmaking for 10 minutes if you queue up and decline a match. Tekken 7 should be doing the same but for a shorter time.

And again. People decline to exploit. Common knowledge. The game white lists two players so they don't get matched up again immediately. But for a baffling reason, if someone declines a match, the two players can match up all over again. Which is not fair for the player that declined a rematch. Lots of people use this to exploit easy rank climbs. I personally don't care because I already play 3 or 5 matches against players who beat me all the time, but if I'm bored and want a new player THEN LET ME FIGHT AGAINST A NEW PLAYER.

Just change your windows region so u will change your map. Sometimes players decline matches by maps or language. Change that everytime. Like I want to fight the same guy but he keeps running away so I change map and he accepts me not knowing it's me of course. Is it dubious or unfair? Maybe. All is fair in love, war or Tekken.

You're not just screwing that guy, you're screwing OTHERS too because you reset the matchmaking whitelist for everybody. I give a nice and fair 3 matches for everyone, sometimes even 5. After that, I'd like to move on to a new opponent but people like you ruin it and make me waste time in load screens just to get matched with the same guy.

Yeah I get that, but what if I suspect I get matched against the same lagger again? What if it shows me a poor connection or someone with high leave percentage? The idea to punish people for not accepting matches in the waiting room is absurd, sorry.

Low ping and high leave % could be declined freely without penalty, how about that? You shouldn't be allowed to instantly re-queue after declining a green/blue network or a 3% or less disconnecter.
Clearly, reading comprehension is not to be expected from the mentally ill FGC community, so I'm wasting my time here.
so if I am reading OP's points correctly, they want penalties for people who don't play a consistent 3 or 5 matches?

They want bans or other "negative actions" if someone plays against them due to the matchmaking (which is on Steam's end- not Bamco) if they leave and get paired up again?

I dont want to burst your bubble, but this isn't DOTA or LoL. Those games consist of teams. The penalties are based on the team mentality and the potential time it takes to load in, conduct pick and bans as well as making sure a full team is on each side for competitive play. Tekken is 1v1. It does take a while to match and load, but only 2 people are potentially "screwed over" if one of the players quits, plugs or gets somehow disconnected.

I would wait for season 4. Maybe some more changes are coming to help alleviate many of your concerns and complaints.

But honestly, tekken has bigger issues imho.

Upon reading the posts again, this whole post seems one-sided and is inferring quite a bit from OP's perspective. OP doesnt really know why people leave, quit, get paired up again, etc. Some of it may be toxicity from other players, yes- but there is no way to know for sure. I get paired with people who quit on me over and over sometimes too. But there is no way to know that every player is purposefully declining matches just to get "you". It isnt reasonible.

Yeah, those decline rules make little sense, OP. You declined for a reason... And then they match you with them again... Big th0nk lmao
match decline is fine - let's people somewhat avoid trolling players like lag switchers, peeps who's setup hides their connection lag bars, peeps who are hacking, smurfs, pluggers, and on and on
This sounds like a huge conspiracy to me
I don't know.. Some times the matchmaking decides to troll and not match me with anyone and when the sudden call of nature comes, I get matched. I should be free to decline to answer my call of nature.
Dude climb the ranks high enough and no amount of quiting after one match is going to save you from players that can way out class you. Nothing. You seem a little salty, perhaps you got washed by a player that got 3 perfects on you in a match and then wouldn't run it back. It happens to everyone bro, you're not KNEE.
