Shadowplay nvidia not recording long gameplay (over 2 hours) [Tekken 7]

be warned! i lost over 2 hours footage due to shadowplay not recording at all if the gameplay is over 1 to 2 hour's long. mp4 video filesize few mb's and one gameplay straight to 2 hour's it makes 2 video mp4's which is few megabytes and one ha's 0 minutes/seconds and the second video mp4 is about 30 second's at the end of the gameplay. be warned! shadowplay might not run correctly at some pc builds. gotta buy game recording software for that because i can't trust shadowplay nvidia at all. i don't recommend it to gameplay footage due to not recording if the gameplay is long! damn! tekken 7 footage all lost :( gotta try next year when i will build coffee lake pc i7 8700k

Shadowplay only records 20 mins in my case, and the manual recording on it takes a lot of time to compile the video, if i quit my game before i see the video listed in the gallery, i'll get a corrupted mp4.

I'll just use other alternatives if i have bad experience on shadowplay, not worth the frustration and rage.

I've had no problems whatsoever with shadowplay.

OBS has way more CPU usage.

kinda how i feel. what are your settings, is your nvidia drivers up to date, and did you have enough harddrive space?

You must not have ever used ShadowPlay.
Shadow play costs close to 0 performance to record and stream, its absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantastic. (when it works, apparently)
Never had a problem with it myself though.

my settings in [shadowplay] is [quality - custom - 25 Mbps - In game resolution 1080p 60 fps] and i use manual recording as it does not have limited recording (20 minutes only if used Instant Replay mode) and more than 20 minute's can be recorded when using manul recording (alt + f9). for short clips it work's perfect but i can't use it to record longer video's because not working. shadowplay is good and bad. almost zero impact on performance fps. i used many year's ago MSI Afterburner overclocking free utility to record game's and i should and other's try that software for short/long gameplay's if other's not working. it has worked always so i might try that next time. i have old 2 hour's material [Tekken 7 online] short clips but i don't have horse power to encoding/rendering it due to ancient sandy bridge i3 2120 in my main pc system and renderning taking day's because no one will watch 480p video's on youtube/elsewhere because today's standards :( OBS is maybe nice but i do not having tested it yet and i think that i3 2120 sandy is not enough. my system is not ready for video editing/rendering but next year i have horse power to do these kind of content :) shadowplay will work on some system and not for another. it's kinda same as other software on pc systems. but shadoplay is maybe not good for long video's but short clips works perfect everytime :) a lot of ppl do tekken online video's about tekken 7 which is good thing
