Why don't more people play Bob?

In about 2000 matches online, I don't think I've ever seen even one Bob player. In Tekken 6 and Tag 2, he was a major pain in the butt to play against. Why isn't he more popular in T7? I mean he's not widely regarded on the same level as Gigas/Chloe/The Bears in terms of tier lists.

Hell, I've played against more bears and Gigas players than Bob.

I play Bob!

He's pretty awesome, with good variety of attacks but for some reason, no one really plays him as think i saw one person use him in this game, so far vs the countless Kazuya's and Jin's.

Might be because of his aesthetics, I guess, no clue.

My wild guess is that people are like me, and just don't find playing bob fun.

Once you look past the "Oh haha he's big but does really agile attacks" -gimmick, he seems like your average tekken character and you need to consider if his attacks suit your playing style.

And for most people there are more interesting characters to play.

I'm all for more variety in my online matches. I may pick him up for a while. I'll probably win a few just from people not knowing the matchup.

I only played T6 round a friends house, never owned it myself sadly as I had an X360 back then not a PS3

Tbh I'd love to see Tag on here, the roaster in tekken tag games are always amazing

Tekken 6 evo saw a bob vs Bob final because of how broken he was. It was boring. People might still be feeling that disppointing final. Other than that , I myself just find him rather boring and not my play style. (Even though I play kuma)

Bob is just a unpopular character.

Indeed, would love to have Tekken Tag 2 on Steam as never played that one and it has Ogre in it.. I love a huge roaster in fighting games, even if you could argue that makes it harder to balance right but the tag games always remind me of like a "greatest hits"

tag 2 is a better game in almost every way to me

I think it's mostly because of his appearance, how weighty he is.

I've played Bob, I like him and I've done well with him. Fastest I've ranked up was with him, of the characters I played ranked as.

His mixup power and I guess you'd call it weighty power makes him good online. I'd beat people without much juggling.

When I fight Bob's as someone else, he can be a real handful.
