Why people hate Lucky Chloe?

I've read so many article about her, even before the game is released.
People (usually in NA if I'm not mistaken) don't like her most.
What is the logical reason?

Yeah it is sort of a joke, a meme started by harada when he trolled people by saying chloe won't release in the west and will be replaced by a muscular skinhead character.

But you really need to look around, the hate for chloe goes beyond people's personal preference. Even josie and raven are getting much of the same hate because of their skin color and gender and because they replaced other characters. But when you look at gigas he doesn't get the same hate because he is a beefcake, eventhough he isn't a very usefull or interesting character gameplay wise, unlike chloe, raven and josie. This stuff goes deep man, there are some people with latent psycosis on the internet and stuff like chloe brings it out in them.

I'm still not sure about the "hate" you speak of, I just don't understand how in 2017 people act like bigots and racists are coming out of the wood works. You know what those people you speak of are called internet TROLLS lol. I see them as nothing more then attention seekers.

People hate her because she's obnoxious, a giant weeb trope, and basically fights like the capos. And yes, people would rather have the legacy characters than this new garbage. Usually the new characters in each Tekken are neat, but this time they are all kind of awful. But not for the reasons you mentioned.

Catarina is lazily designed, is p1ss easy to use, and does way too much damage. Chloe I already covered. Josie is just boring to look at. Feels basically like Julia. And Gigas is essentially a bigger Jack. Claudio's hop kick, nuff said. Kazumi is alright. A little basic, though it is neat they kind of gave her a KoF striker. My only gripe with her is that her name sounds like a toddler describing a race car. Master Raven is just Raven rule 63'd for no reason...The only characters I haven't messed with is the Arabian guy whose name escapes me, and Eliza because I didn't pre-order.

Anyone who thinks the dislike for these new characters is based in some sort of deep seated racism only Tekken could bring out has a persecution complex.

I think you are naive, these people aren't coming out of the woodwork, they have always been in our society. They are only trolls until they put their beliefs into action.

I am no SJW or even an idealistic person. But since we are discussing chloe, this is what has been happening with this character and other new characters who don't conform to the muscular white male power fantasy of these trolls. Nothing makes them more mad than getting beat up by a little girl with a tail and pink frilly outfit, i love it lol.

I think the biggest issue people have with the newer characters is that some serve as replacements to older legacy characters such as raven, josie, and marduk. If the newer characters were the DLC instead of the legacy characters then there would be less complaints.

Oh and Btw I can't think of hardly any legacy characters (that aren't in the game) that are in the "white power fantasy" category you mention. (Lei, marduk, bruce, etc...)

Gameplay wise:

People hate her because they're bad at the game and keep getting destroyed by one of the most predictable characters in the game. The end.

People should really hate themselves for falling for crap though, not the character. My Lucky Chloe is absolute garbage but when I wanna play a few casuals with her I get away with the dumbest stuff.

People will get over her once they learn how to play.


Character wise:

They hate her because she's different than what we're used to seeing from female characters in Tekken, and change is scary for a lot of people. Even though we have even dumber characters like Kuma and Panda. Don't forget the boxing dinosaur and kangaroo from past games.

I think she's a welcomed change to the roster, and she isn't a clone like Christie or Anna.

I do find it to be rather amusing tho how unironically triggered some people get by her mere existence. Talk about being special snowflakes.

The only reason why I like her is because of how angry she makes some people and I find it hilarious.
