Why do people say Lars is bad?

I honestly don't see why people think he's so low as far as tiers go. This character has brung me plenty of success in ranked, I mean I'm at brawler now (I know that's not very high) but regardles.. He seems great, but I suppose in a game like tekken it's more about whoever you find comfortable and that every character has their pro's and con's. But anyone here mind telling me why is referred to as being quite bad? The man has an orbital and good pressure and mixups, that alone should be mid-tier atleast.

A good Lars is very hard to stop once he gets going, take no notice OP

Probably coz he is a high risk and high reward. His moves like his low sweeps and on counter hit, and his orbitals are strong, but once blocked, he pays a heavy price. Also these moves are heavily relied upon most Lars players. He already has long range punishing tools like b3,4...

In low ranks once Lars build momentum, he is unstoppable, but once he lose that momentum, most Lars players cant cope.. his move sets is also very weird and difficult to understand. He is strong when new players cant understand his unorthordox play style.. but for high ranks, people mostly figure out Lars and they gotta rely on pokes and set ups, thats where they cant seem to cope when they relied on quick and high rewards early game.

I think at higher ranks though, Lars players should use him more as a long range counter fighter and whiff punisher, at the same time play defensive and go for 50/50 attack when the player least expect it. In this sense he is very similar to Mishimas like Kazuya and yet have high risk defensive frames similar to Devil Jin.

lars is bad gameplay wise, he's mid low tier and relies too much on gimmicks to dish out some dmg otherwise his pokes and punishment is good, but in a competitive enviroment top players picks up other less risk more rewarding chars.

Lars is fascinating gameplay wise. I've been meaning to try him out for a while, his 50/50 looks promising. I dont mind high risk chars and I really like his moves and playstyle visually speaking.
