I actually mentioned that in video descriptions)
All kudos go to the original utilities creators and conversion pipeline thread located at:
http://w11.zetaboards.com/SFxT_Mods/topic/30285771/1/
Basically, I surfed through the topic and paid attention to everything mentioned by Snub, xRuneXero, Gworzor, PurpleFighter.
But the 'secret sauce' to volume & quality fix is:
- normalize the track in Audacity, amplifying it up until it hits the 1.5 -- 2.0 peak value
- use WWise to convert the tracks to .WEM files with two instances of each: one with frequency 44100, Stereo, the other with frequency 48000, 6ch.
It may sound complicated - and it kinda is - but I hope that I'll be able to help the author of Jukebox Utility implement my revised algorithm into his mod as well.
But when i play treasure mode, I get the Twilight Conflict stage every round.
Did I do something wrong? Or do you know how to fix this? Because this is not enjoyable.
Besides that good changes.
Edit: Happens with every stage that has your BGM.
Hmm... That sounds very strange and I'm not sure I undestand exactly what you mean.
! Does, for example, Twilight Conflict stage itself get forced on you in Treasure mode? Or the stages do change, but Twilight Conlfict MUSIC keeps playing with them?.. Please, clarify this point :)
You don't, by chance, mean that you just get the same stage in Treasure mode several times in a row, do you? Because, that's how Treasure mode itself works -- you fight like 4-5 opponents in same place, then a "special match' of some kind -- then you get transfered to a new area..
The stage itself is forced to repeat itself.
So i deleted the changed twilight BGM and tried again.
This time the problem occurred with the temple stage.
And even between the stages, in the loading screen, the music kept playing.
And on top of that the first time loading into the treasure mode seems to be slightly longer.
I played at least five rounds on the buggy Twilight stage. And after that another three or four on the temple stage.
#1. Alright, it seems the probabilities change indeed, I played about 12-13 matches (lost once) until a "Special Battle: test your reflexes" came about, after which the stage did change.
So they do change, but only after a VERY significant number of matches, dunno the reason.
Without the mod, they would change every 3-5 matches (also after Special Battle would come around, i.e. test reflexes, double damage, aerial juggle only, character special with splash screens, etc.)
It may also be totally unrelated, though, as there are evidence like this, too:

#2. The music from last battle would keep playing during loading only in Treasure Mode, with or without the mods installed, tested.
#3. The loading times are indeed slightly longer -- probably because I used a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of memory for volume/quality fixes (hence each PAK file is like 30-40 mb). Sorry, but I prefer it quality over loading time, personal preference :)

Also read through the SFxT mod thread you posted, and I'm guessing we're back to only being able to mod non-FR stage songs?
So do all the steps in the thread still work? Or is there a better way to make paks now?
Thanks for using the Dragon's Nest pak, appreciate) Hope it works correctly and you like it.
Yup, we're back to non-FR stage songs.
Last time I checked (about a month and a half ago), all the steps and non-FR replacement mods worked as intended.
Also, I remember someone telling me that Jukebox Mod is still functional if you mod ONLY the non-FR arenas (like the ones I touched with my mod here).
Would you happen to know if the S2 stage songs are pulled from that "stub" too, eg Twilight Conflict 2?
