Is it imporant to map L1 L2, R1, R2 buttons?

what are these buttons used for in Tekken 7? Are they usefl?

They're more consistent than pressing 2 buttons together.

If you use a controller, button shortcuts it may be useful, but stick players (like myself) usually just use the face buttons and R1 (Rage Art).

hell yeah they are important especially for those moves thar require to press buttons that with ur thumb u can't reach simoultaneously.
Square + Triangle , Square + Circle , Cross + Triangle and Cross+Circle are a pain in the ass to me and shortcuts just makes them doable.

I have the buttons bound but I dont know how to macro them onto 2 buttons

Nevermind, I think I found out. controller setup! (Not button mapping)! Any idea which buttons are better to be mapped?

Your button mapping most of the time is tailored to the character that you play because most characters have to rely on different button combinations.

Yeh it's really useful. When I play king, instead of pressing two to three inputs at the same time to do RDC, i use my DS4 shoulder buttons. More consistent result at a cost of my rage button but that can be learned with the manual rage

Sure why not? It's just one less input error you will have to worry about.

If you map it to RB its the same for everyone but if you do it manually the rage art command is different for each character.
