15% Sale because game dead already?
Cross play is must to keep game alive on pc. Can they patch it to allow cross play?

Well guy has the point. I was thinking to buy tekken7 as seems like a fun game, but after reading this thread I decide no. It is known that only games in decline get steam discounts, and 15% is quite a discount. Tekken now has 4000 players online, so I guess I'll wait a few months and buy it with 40-50% discount, when player number drops down to 2000-3000.

You read the thread to confirm your own preconceived ideas. The discount is to celebrate EVO, this year tekken as almost 1300 entries in the tournament, this a record number of entries for tekken in a tournament. The developers/publishers are very happy with how tekken is doing so they are giving a small discount. Even with the discount it is still more expensive than what i paid for a physical copy pre-order ($40).

So because i got the game for a massive discount on pre-order was it dead then?

you can check how many player online at comunity hub average 3000, peak around 5000++
i never see fighting game have that many player on steam.
No matter how hard you try to explain them.

It's the same case than ppl asking for removal of RAs, "broken" chars or some specific game mechanic such as items.

They will always believe what their as$ wants and claim to be right.
tekken has almost 6000 players on the steam version and street figther 5 has a whopping 1500.
End of discussion. I see sf5 getting at least 2000 when Season 3 hits, but right now tekken is outdoing sf on both platforms, without crossplay support. #FACTS. also, ultra sf4 is doing almost 200 players.

thats what i am monitoring since release, first 2 weeks i was happy as 15-20k around players then it started going down rapidly. I thought, may be it will increase but it dropped down to 3k players most time and 5k only on peak hour. May be in 1-2 month, that will also drop down to 1-2k players. Still not old but if they can somehow pull up cross play, number of players will increase a lot, if not then this will be totally dead game soon. Mark my words for this ^^
well the only side that disagreed on crossplay for now is all on sony if i'm not mistaken. Even bamco agreed to the idea of crossplay. I believed i had read this statement somewhere tho

This is such an insane number, for a PC port of a fighting game, period. I'm still having a stroke lmao. But I expect to see these numbers dropping halfway after a year at most.

It's not a port. PC version is native. Consoles' are ports.
OP you realize 5k people is not a tiny amount right? Do you think you'll be playing 200 games a night or something? That's a high enough amount that you'll be getting fast games and probably won't play the same people much if ever.

Don't even try and lie about not buying this game because you want more players, you just wanted to come here and complain. You have the incapability of actually seeing any point of view but your own, many have already given reasons why your wrong but you refuse to even acknowledge it

Also I'm still not understanding how 3-5k players on a fighting game makes it dead. There are so many other games with much smaller amounts that wish they could have the consistent activity this game gets. It peaked at 18k cause of the hype, and when people realized that they can't win by mashing they moved on.
