Ok buddy sure, all I see is that he's an amazing character and I'm having a hella lot of fun with him. He stands out ? Maybe, but to be honest, all of the Season 2 DLC characters stand out. Julia looks like a guest character to me.
Now, if you wanna start ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and whining because of a damn video game character, alright, but at least bring any argument to this. "Oh but the guest character doesn't fit in !" Gee, I wonder what the "GUEST" stands for. Besides, the only thing he stands out for is how much charisma his moves try to give. He's probably the only character to have so many lines, especially the counter-hit Bat moves, and his model looks much more polished than the others, and for me, it makes it an even better Negan than we could have hoped for. The character is known for standing out and stealing the show, that's exactly why he has so much charisma, that's exactly why even those who didn't watch TWD still know who Negan is, that's how much his character is BASED on stealing the show. But sure, your opinion is the divine truth and Negan is boring. But well, you play Gigas so you're used to garbage I guess.
As for Bob, the Design Shop episode on Fat characters might get you interested.
- This is a thread that invites people to share their thoughts as to why they don't like a certain new char.
- I shared my thoughts.
- I basically said he doesn't fit in and there was one iteration of the word "violent", which you really seem to love and love and love to base your whole attack on.
- I added that my opinion probably doesn't matter at all, that Bamco selling their product is ultimately what matters in the end.
So...
Are you really going to be so dense? Or do you probably love endless pointless banter?
Right, this thread is asking WHY does he doesn't fit in, and the only argument you're able to give is "hurr durr violence". When you'll have anything else to back up your ♥♥♥♥ then go on. And keep in mind there's a difference between standing out, and not fitting in. But yeah, keep acting like you're all winning.
You haven't shown anything. Maybe I would somewhat agree with you if it wasn't for Negan's counter hit and rage art.
Show me which other character hits you with a baseball bat, gets his baseball bat lodged in your head because the barbed wire has pierced your skull, so he has to push you away to take it out.
And then the rage art. Gives me instant thoughts of broken skull, paralysis, coma and death.
Marduk or Miguel have a violent style but this is on another level. I would be totally fine with this if it was Mortal Kombat, but your're bringing it to Tekken.
Maybe I'll get used to it but right now I kinda feel like the game has been ruined for me.
Read the comment above where I listed things in the lore.
As for the gameplay, it's just so funny that you think "violence" is too much in a damn fighting game. Yeah, the baseball bat gets stuck ... and then you get up as if nothing happened. Bryan's ss+1 looks realistically brutal (Let's not even talk about Fisherman). Dragunov's b1+2 looks realistically brutal. Hwoarang's backlash looks realistically brutal. Every single Miguel move looks realistically brutal. All of these moves can cause a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ brain trauma (maybe even put you in a coma for Dragunov's b1+2 which SLAMS you on the ground, realistically that would make the person pass out very easily).
How is it that Negan hitting you with a bat "way too much violence, there are kids watching" when Kuma literally eats your chest out ? Negan's counter-hit attacks are the same, they just have a long animation to add emphasis because yes, a baseball bat is more brutal than straight up punches, but still, your character gets up and there isn't even any blood anywhere. Negan LITERALLY fits in the rules.
And to be honest, Dragunov's rage art gives me way more chills than Negan's one.
Kuma doesnt eat... he was making love.
I guess it's called "Bear Hug" after all.
I don't know, man. Dragunov's rage art doesn't bother me much, but Negan's on my character gives me a surge of negative emotions that can linger after the battle, and there's this tension in my stomach, the one you feel when you're stressed.
I'm thinking I might have to play Negan myself for a while to get used to those moves.
Don't you dare compare Bryan to some nobody from a cookie cutter netflix show or whatever this Neegan is from. Bryan is inspired by the antagonist of Blade Runner, Roy Batty, who is one of the most memorable characters in the scifi genre.
As for written resources, I really don't have much in that department. All I have is rbnorway.org, where I learnt a little bit about his frame data.
