How is Armour king different than King?

Paraphrasing a common quote on this,

'King's grabs are complemented by his pokes,
Armour King's pokes are complemented by his grabs'

Basically, King uses his pokes to get you to stand still so you'll eat a chain grab while A.King grabs you until you move, making you vulnerable to big boy hits.

AK and King, are like Anna and Nina. AK is more effective in stance, punches, kicks. Well King is "grappler", ofc AK is grappler to but AK is more agressive.

While King is specialized and his game is 70% grabs that deal insane damage, Armor King has way less grabs and his gameplan focuses more on fundamental tekken in virtue of the fact that he's partly a Mishima style character. Unlike King, he has a Wind God Fist (dark upper), he can properly wavedash, he has a Mishima axe kick, and a million technical setups that revolve around pokes and unblockables. Imho he's more complex than King on a basic level and the amount of things you need to remember is greater and need to be executed better.

But yeah, King is more about grappling, Armor King is more fundamental based, having way better whiff punishment.

The way I see it, you can't exactly be called a certain character player if you're not using their trademark moves. In King's case, his chain throws.

While pros like lil Majin from the states or MBC from Korea are known to be incredible King players, they lean more on using the standard kicks & punches to deal damage rather than attempting to use his chain throws in a frequent basis.

I honestly think that they'd do rather pretty well with a character like Armor King since he is the polar opposite of King, more on punch/kick & less with the chain throws.
Notice how Majin plays in his recent tournament entries? I barely see him executing chain throws to deal damage similar to a standard juggle combo.

Characters like Armor King & the Williams' are kind of the same, more on limb moves with a decent variety of chain grabs that deals great damage compared to the entire roster. Whereas King on the other hand, is the epitome of chain grabs whose damage is on a level on its own with no competition.

I mean come on, King's strongest grapple deals a staggering 3-digit damage on its own with no outside interferences like walls floor/balcony breaks or counter hits or even with Rage.

I was searching how the hell I could edit King's armor since I couldn't see the armor in the editor and stumbled on this post... 14 hours of playtime and I JUST realized King and Armor King are two different characters LOL
