Servers don't do any better at handling lag. Players freezing then zipping across the map is worse than just making everything slower. Also they suffer from peekers advantage. In Tekken that would basically mean whoever attacks first is always ahead of the other person.
Wrong. It's whoever is the Host since PeerToPeer is mostly Host Advantage.
Tekken 7 has no Actual Servers to br exact.
And no there is no host advantage or else the host wouldn't have to worry about using safe moves as much as the other player. But we all know punishing works for both players the same. FYI this game has hybrid netcode with rollbacks, always has.
The problem in t7 on PC has been from season 2 on, starting by the stupid easy ranking up for everyone, to the ability to save your rank locally, allowing lesser beings to do their thing.
The decision of taking out ranked list on season1 did also a lot of damage. Why do always legit deathmatch players have to pay for the sins of the lesser beings bosting?, we will always know who they are, but no no let's just kill the ranked list because of boosters, and let legit DM players to eat that one (developer thinking at its best).
♥♥♥♥ you Harada-Boy. F A CK U
Lesser beings :D
"since PeerToPeer is mostly Host Advantage"
host advantage? What are you talking about?
The point of using peer to peer networking in a fighting game exactly that this networking handles both end equally so there is no advantage on either side .
Given that the game is P2P it wouldnt surprise me if there are a bunch of lagswitchers since you can easily build one for less than 5€
That jumping would only appear on the screen of the laggers.
Sadly its not just that.
Connection can be affected a lot by the local infrastructure also.
Even an 1000Mbitconnection can be crap if those few hundred meters wires and switches/hubs on the street are not maintained properly to the main access point in the area by the ISP creating errors on the network.
Because bandwith are not affected so much of the errors due to the correcting algorithm nobody will realize there are issues unless they are an expert or just gamers who can feel these lag spikes but it will create jitter and maybe packet loss also.
My experience is that most of the internet user think their "premium" high bandwith connection must be good because their download speeds are almost unaffected so it must be perfect also for online gaming while its not always the case.
