No, they have to fine-tune the animations and frame data as well as balance against the rest of the roster. It's no easy feat. We also don't know how far along they are in terms of customisation for the Character etc.

I see why ganryu was chosen as he was really the last fighting style with no representation at all, but I can't help but think this could indicate the last season for this game.

He might be mid tier for professional tournaments but he is S+ god tier for non-pros and online for sure.

I am not certain yet but he might be THE easiest char to play right now thanks to the strings.

I am grateful for him not being completely over the top like Leroy though. I dont mind chars that are easy to achieve results with as long as they are not straight up broken.
