Paul Phoenix needs to be nerfed
The amount of damage he deals along with the amount of options he gets is un-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-holy. Seriously, who thought its a good idea to have a combo finisher that will always deal a minimum of 15 damage at max combo penalty? Not to mention his 14 frame launcher that lets him combo into that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PUNCH

Seriously, who thought this character should exist?

Paul is on the lower end of combo damage. BnBs deal around 55-67 damage (w/o walls) but once youre cornered he can become oppressive.
For good damage he has to do really difficult combos which can be dropped easily online.

Paul has existed since tekken 1 and always been in every game. my advice is just try learn how to fight him and dont blame the character. blame the players how they abuse certain moves :boomer:

Paul aint easy to play, compare him with Leroy. his damage potential is much more higher with 0 execution, also TEKKEN never ment to be an easy game
Which moves do you have problems with Paul? D/f 2? Deathfist? Ff 4 into iWS 3, 2? Demo Man?

Those were the most common I encountered with lower rank Paul. I am unsure which one of those you have issues with. But since those moves are kind of scrub killers, it's important to learn how to counter or punish those few.
Kazuya needs to be nerfed. Too much OP hellsweeps. Easy execution etc....

his deathfist is actually a bad finisher. atleast in a stage with walls. you dont get a wallcombo with it.
depending on the char you play you can punish deathfist on block. its -17. e.g. law can always launchpunish it with his 3+4,4 launcher. deviljin can punish it from maxrange with his f 3+4 and so on.

his is i14 launcher is a high with short range. good tool but you wont see ppl spamming it.


go into practice mode and use the punishment tool which got recently added.

also record moves which you have problems against and see what works best to avoid/ block/ counter it.

If you're trying to mock me then don't start, hellsweep is usually readable as hell and lets itself get into an easy punish, deathfist combos off of EVERYTHING paul has.

Leroy is a new character thats still being figured out, while having overtuned numbers and easy execution. Not the same thing - cancer yes, but not the same thing.

Hmm.. it is a 14f high though and doesn't have the best range. Don't think it is the best punisher for Paul. Either you made too many unsafe moves that put you at -14 close to Paul or you are constantly trying to get in his face to press buttons.

It is indeed safe on block though. So if a Paul tries to spam it in your face, ducking actually covers both demo man and that.
