When someone adds you after a match
Has anyone in mankind history had positive comments from random person who adds you? Everytime I accept, no matter do they lose or win they start trash talking. If I win it's get cancer or calling just bad (even they lost). If they win, I thought then people wouldn't be salty, maybe ask me to spar against their alts or something, but no, then they are like "how are you so bad at that high rank, I have been trying so long".

These people seem to have positive comments on their profile too so they seem alright, but apparently they just hide their real personality in public page. When nobody else sees they go full salt.

Is this some unspoken rule when somebody adds you in fighting game it's only salt?

I think it's me who added you from "the steam doc or discord" i don't remember.

i dont know where these people come from. out of all the people who have added me or the people ive added, i can only recall a couple who were bitter and weird. most of the time, people add me just to say ggs or compliment my asuka

i honestly wish i got more salty friend requests. i NEVER get any

I don't accept anyone. Sometimes I do; open the chat, write: "No." and throw them off my friend list.

And if they start commenting on my screenshots and stuff, because they're helpless and can't find another way of communication: on the ignore list it is with a previous report for spam.
Ive actually had more good experiences with players on steam rather than PS4. Their have been the few times with hatemail though

What you (OP) said, is completely true in fighting games. They only add you to their friends list to trash talk and flame you.

Getting hate comments/messages is priceless.

not only.
i had some people add me because they wanted to train with me.
its always good to have players on the same level as you to train with.

I add people if we had good games - or just to say something. For some reason many Tekken autists have a private profile or disabled comments.

I continue to friend good players I play against. It is a crap-shoot yes, but I take the risk of trolls any day if it means I have friends on my list that will make me better or improve my experience within the game.

I haven't received any invite that wasn't just to say ggs and play again sometime, so all good. And I've made 70 friends playing T7 so far.
