When someone adds you after a match
Has anyone in mankind history had positive comments from random person who adds you? Everytime I accept, no matter do they lose or win they start trash talking. If I win it's get cancer or calling just bad (even they lost). If they win, I thought then people wouldn't be salty, maybe ask me to spar against their alts or something, but no, then they are like "how are you so bad at that high rank, I have been trying so long".

These people seem to have positive comments on their profile too so they seem alright, but apparently they just hide their real personality in public page. When nobody else sees they go full salt.

Is this some unspoken rule when somebody adds you in fighting game it's only salt?

I stopped accdpting invites nowadays. I have accepted about 30-40 friend request in Tekken 7 in the first few month after release and 99% of them wanted to play more and to say gg.

Nowadays 90% of these request came from players who wish me to hang myself get cancer or saying I am trash etc. .

I think its just that a lot of immature player who don't understand this genre at all (scrubs.....) bought the game get frustrated and wanna vent than add others to insult.

I have also checked the profile of these users (if it was public) and yes I expereinced the same as you that they seems OK. But most of them are some CS or DOTA players who get positive comments in those communities with trading etc but it seems these players just can't hanlde or understand fighting games in general and take a beating personal maybe or who knows. ehh

If I ever add anyone and this happens than I ignore their insults remove them than move on. I suggest you to do the same. Sometimes I try to reason with them and ask why are they hateful (if I have the patience) and the last time I had luck with that tone of communication than that player gave me a small apology than he removed me.

This genre makes a lot of type of person more frustrated than anything else.

Me too I received, as a French I receive pejorative expressions and lately the threat of death, LOL.

Moi aussi j'en ai reçu, en tant que français je reçoit des expressions péjoratif et dernièrement des menace de mort, LOL.

I see. That's interesting the positive ones were when the game was new.

Now that I think about it those positive comments on their profile were most likely for trading indeed.

I do ignore their insults and remove them quickly afterwards, while some of them removes me so fast I don't have time to even reply. Such a shame it is like this.

The main reason I stopped playing League of Legends a long time ago was the same attitude. Almost every match someone started flaming or just being toxic bringing whole team morale down, and there you just had to deal with it until the match ends.

I guess I should just keep expecting the worst everytime.

I always get positive comments, and have added many friends that way. That usually happens after a long series of rematches.

There was 1 guy who maybe wasn't that friendly, but no insults or death threats. I have comments enabled on my profile if someone is salty they can say it there without sending friend request.

But honestly I'm not particularly bothered by text insults on the internet.
yes, if I enjoyed a game, sometimes I comment to their profile or add their account to say something like ggwp, ty, thx for waiting etc.
I also can sense obvious incoming hateful friend request so I'll just ignore them.

Hmh, so there are also nice people who does that. I have lost count how many negative ones I have gotten because it has happened over longer period of time. Well there was one time I accepted a guy who was from the same country and he was nice. Almost forgot that after all the negative ones.

Did you play against them more than a couple rounds in general?

I set mine private to avoid that happening, but it doesn't really help since they are so dedicated to trash talk you they send friend request if it's not public lol

I have almost 60 people as Tekken friends and most of them have added me, not the other way around. Initially I accepted everyone and got many cold showers, but over time I got to know how to recognize good criticism to idiocy by looking at their profile and what groups are they in. If the profile is private I never accept. Lately I've been adding only friends of friends so I can talk ♥♥♥♥ to their friends too if I receive a bad treatment.

But are you worried about their insults after they win, or after they lose? Becuase if it's after they lose, then it's just hilarious. They're gonna be typing while angry and you can troll them easily.

I don't care which way is it, I just don't like dealing with it. It's true I'd have room to troll them if they start trash talking after their loss, but instead of wasting my time with such people I tend to say something like how about you think what you just said or sarcastically tell how nice guy they are and then remove them, if they didn't remove me already.

While the salty invite certainly happens this game has been a phenomenon that most ppl who add me are actually chill and usually say "GG" or "Nice Character" Some even have become regular training partners. Maybe im lucky

That sounds good. I hope I am just very unlucky with people I meet. I play Chloe and since she is quite gimmicky I guess it can trigger people more than usual if they haven't labbed her, but they should still act like a decent human being after a loss.
