Only single player modes (outside of practice) are arcade: which is shorter and has no endings (these were moved to Character stories, you get them after 1 battle) and Treasure mode, an endless string of battles that unlocks chests with customisation items randomly. With some randomly placed bosses and modifiers like "double damage", "double speed" or "juggle damage".
Technically, there are more options than TTT2 but the hair options are much fewer. Also, a lot of the options are T-shirts and there aren't any decals like in TTT2. There are some paid customisation part of the season passes which are nice though. If you want, you could look at this Spreadsheet [drive.google.com] I made comparing the options for Asuka in TTT2 and T7 lol
There's no unique mode in the base game but if you get season pass 1 you get Tekken Bowl. Also, the DLC characters don't have their own character story endings.
In terms of unlocking Customisation, once you reach 2000 battles you unlock it all (except for DLC characters, you still have to play treasure battle for that
Overall this is a very competitive multiplayer centric Tekken. It doesn't even have Mokujin (or Ganryu)
2. Character cusomization is limited. Some new Content was released for character customization a few months ago-But most of it is behind the DLC (not all). The character customization is worse than tekken 6. Many "numbered articles" are simply counted for each character (examples like glasses and shirts) when in reality nobody uses them. Which takes the hundreds of items for a character down to like 8 outfits lol.
Also of note, with the Season Pass model they're employing, they are doing periodic free updates to supplement the paid content. For example, they've added little bits of free customisation, like a few new hairstyles or free character panels. They also redesigned the Main Menu and gave it new music. As well as adding "basic combos" for beginners among other things.
So I would say there is a slight possibility they could actually add some proper content to the game. SF V did so after its launch, I'm surprised this one hasn't copied that yet. O_o
For now their focus seems purely MP centric though >_<
2. Lackluster, ttt2 or t6 has better hair option, t7 has better set costumes + mods (automatically unlocks all base chars accessories after 2000 matches)
