As I had already unlocked everything previously I just used a trainer to unlock all the custom items again, obviously my rank and custom outfits were all gone but it lessesned the blow a little.
Also, there's a little program called 'gamesave manager' thats really handy, it scans your system for saves and makes a back up of all of them for incase something like this happens. Might be worth a look
Steam has way too many games to be able to check for corruption, it just goes by how new the file is.
You might want to periodically copy your save file to another folder.
It's at C:\users\(your username)\app data\local\TekkenGame\Saved\SaveGames\Tekken7\(numbers)\
Maybe make a new folder in there name it Bak or Backup or make it on your desktop whatever.
Copy Global1.sav and paste a copy in that Backup folder. Copy your customs save file if you want to.
In order to restore your copied save file you have to disable Steam Cloud, put your backup save back where it came from and play the game or mess with options to make it save so that file will be the newest before you turn Steam Cloud back on then exit game to sync the fixed save.
And I'm still not sure how you guys are corrupting your saves. I got this on day 1 and have had some crashes but never lost my save file.
Good to know. But that kinda defeats the purpose of having the cloud save. Maybe it's best to actually disable the auto-sync and use it only occasionally.
AppData is a system folder by default it's hidden , u have to check show hidden files/folder in your windows explorer then navigate to this directory (Your PC might have different file paths but as long as you go to the right folder you are good to go ) :
C:\Users\Home PC\AppData\Local\TekkenGame
this is the location where Tekken 7 writes all your save data , i hope it helps . Good Day !
