Tekken Classic

In the last few years, so many old games and mini consoles with in built classic games have been released for nostalgic reason so this got me thinking that there should be a Tekken Classic game or a DLC with seperate modes if we want old shool characters to be playable again.

I can't think of any reason why Bandai Namco would reject this move because anything nostalgic is very profitable and they would gain a lot from this.

Simple solution would be:

A) Developers to make Tekken Classic game and bring back all the old school characters. There should be NO characters from 2013 and present. It's named classic for a reason.

B) Release a Tekken Classic DLC pack for Tekken 7 where characters from the past series can be playable.

C) Have a classic event week once a month or something where all old school characters can be playable for the rest of the week.

If they don't bring back characters and still add random irrelevent trash in the game and while ignoring the fan's appeal then I'm done playing Tekken.

Ngl, if they made a collection with the old installments (like how sf did the 30y anniversary one) I'd buy it right away

A) That's basically Tekken Tag Tournament 2 lol

B) They're literally doing that, we already have Lei and Anna thus far. All won't be added though because that'd upset game balance and make it harder for newcomers to get into the series (too many different matchups to learn)

C) That makes no sense. Why spend all that time on development etc creating these Characters when they can devote that time to planned DLC and updates? I mean, that's even ignoring the fact you're asking for a F2P model (rotating playable Characters) in a full priced AAA game... O_o

This is a much more sensible suggestion. They wouldn't really even need to bundle Tekken 1-3 because they're included in Tekken 5. But yeah they could do a Tekken 1-6 collection (maybe include the Tag games?). That would be pretty big though considering T6 and TTT2 are PS3 games

Bruce Irvin is a flat one dimensional character with zero charisma. I say good riddance.

I mean, all OP wants is an opportunity to play Bruce Irvin again. Really though, there's nothing stopping anyone from just booting up any of the other Tekken games rather than suggesting they release a collection or whatever.

The characters that are in Tekken 7 are there because vast majority of people want them there. For those that aren't, there's still hope for the 3 characters in Season Pass 2 and maybe even beyond that. For now though, Bruce Irvin isn't in Tekken 7 and I'm pretty sure that whatever the 3 characters are is set in stone. (not that constant we want x character threads on Steam would change that regardless for this)

But yeah, I never really cared for Bruce. His replacement (Josie), I don't care for much either. I didn't care for Raven, he got replaced by Master Raven; meh. Marduk got replaced by Gigas; never really liked Marduk either. One of my favourite characters; Jun, got replaced by Asuka. I really like Asuka though.

I do think Tekken 7 has a different dynamic than other Tekken games because it's missing certain defining characters. Like it's weird there's no Julia/Michelle, Alex/Roger Jr, even Mokujin/Combot is missing! You know, characters that have made appearances in pretty much every Tekken game prior to Tekken 7. Bruce though, is not one of these characters.

Not only that, but need I remind you that both Bruce AND Marduck (and Christie) are 100% playable, with the new mechanics RA and all, on Tekken Mobile? It's a 2D game, but so what? It has everything Tekken has, plus all the characters you miss. Wasnt that free to play as well? Sure you have to grind to unlock some of them, but whatever right? You just want to play as them, then go for it. There's no need for a topic every 2 days

That's actually a really good point. I kinda forgot about it. So yeah, OP, go play Tekken Mobile XD
