New at Tekken 7, need some help with the combo system.

Hello there. I bought Tekken yesterday and I enjoy it quite a lot so far. I'm new to the tekken franchise but I'm used to other fighting games like Injustice 2, Mortal Kombat X. I'm a bit confused how to make combos, I use a PS4 Controller. I'm used to the combo system in Mortal Kombat where its for example (down up X) for a combo on a PS4 Controller but I use the d-pads on the ps4 controller but i don't know how to do the combos with d-pads. I heard the tekken combo system is similar to Street Fighter which I found pretty hard to use, could I get some tips how to make combos with d-pads cause they seem more advanced.

All you need to know about Katarina combos are Up/Forward circle x 6 or just simply u/f 444444 in tekken language LOL, Easy right ? ^^

Tekken is a totally different game.. Throw everything you ever learned out the window.. Just do treasure battle until you get the movement right

You can't dial in combos like Injustice 2/MKX-- it is hit confirmed. I feel base combos are easier than SFV (for most not all-- or high level). In Tekken, however, there are so many more options available for offence and defence. Movement and defence are more difficult in Tekken as well.

I'd say sample combos are a good starter for demonstrating the general structure of combos in this game. Note that strings and juggles are not the same thing.
