Is there any "bad" or generally not very good characters?

I noticed this game seems to be pretty well balanced. So there might be characters that might be more annoying to play against than others, but is there any "bad" characters?

Gigas, Lucky Chloe, Kuma, Lars, Lee(Too difficult, but has good tools), just to name a few.

No. There are no bad characters. Rather, they have different strengths. Unless you're a tournament pro at the highest level of play you dont have to worry about it. The only question is, how much work do you want to put into the game? That is the only difference for normal people (not pro)

If you want the extra task of execution then go for Kazuya since he is basically handicapped. No command hopkick launcher, only 2 good normal launchers, need good character knowledge, need good movement, no panic moves, only 3 moves that is plus frames on block, and no good pokes.

only Gigas and Lars are kinda don't really work but you still can do well with only few moves and fundamentals. while Lars is generally kinda cool with his gimmicks, Gigas really sucks. with this characters at high ranks you'll won't use many moves they have, while Kazuya for example have all the solid moves you'll just need great execution and movement to use them when they need

3 moves plus frame on block is already really good... and he does have good pokes, just dont finish the strings like 3,1... b2,3... his f3 has really good range and his side step 3.. and ff2 is a safe high with great range.. problem is Kazuya players rely so much on his linear strategy and too dependent on his OP moves that they dont exploit his normals.

Kazuya is already close to S tier... there is nothing holding you back being good with this character. I have fun using Kazuya.. i barely even use my brain.

Midnight Kazuya is only S tier with perfect, and i mean perfect execution, otherwise everyone knows and this isn't even argueable Devil Jin is the best Mishima by far. If Kazuya just has decent execution he's A tier tops, if he can't do an electric B-.

I main Gigas, if he can be S tier with perfect excecution, i would practice everyday. Right now he is trash and i still love the character. Gigas have some difficult excecution which i have mastered.. and i have tried doing some difficult combos with other characters, just practice man, the way is paved.

Technically ff2 is unsafe but the knock back makes it safe. It’s like an Electric without the Launcher and Frame advantage.

But anywho... I’m not saying Kazuya is a bad character because he isn’t. Played at his fullest potential he is basically a God if you’re willing to invest all of your time on learning, moving, and execution. I’m just trying to answer OPs question. Hehe.

No character is bad outright - when compared to other characters on the roster they start to look bad though. Some characters are just better than others - which doesn't really mean much since last TWT Panda won.

Agreed. I think consensus believes Gigas and Lars are under powered. It's not like other game though, I'll lose easily to Gigas and Lars since I don't fight against those two very often and don't know the match up well.
