However, I would say that it's a terrible option for baiting a Rage Art, mainly because the RA apparently gains Super Armor after its 8th frame. So, if you do throw out a d/f1 at the end of the match, and your anxious opponent is hellbent on using his comeback button as soon as he sees your character doing an attack animation, your mid punch will hit and it will deal about 10 of damage, while your opponent armors through it and shoves 60 of damage and a 15 second long cinematic down your throat.
Normal jabs are much more reliable to bait out Rage Arts. If you're far away from the opponent, you can also try dashing in and suddenly stopping in front of him (just be sure not to stop RIGHT in front of him, as this may trigger a tackle or an ultimate tackle, which will both make you eat the rage art), majority of trigger happy begginers will use their RAs as soon as they see their opponent approaching.
10 Frame Jabs and d/f+1 is used to poke and check their tendency. If a mid-poke is -1 on block then you have 3 choices.
1: Keep doing mid-pokes but will be beaten out by any move that is 13 frames or under.
2: Jab to gain that +1 Frame Advantage but will be beaten out by their own i10 jabs.
3: Go for an High Crush Low Attack if they are gonna jab you. Or if you’re feeling frisky then go for a sidestep then whiff punish if they moved.
I guess d/f+1 is the safest poke for most of the characters in this game.
while df1 for most chars atleast track to one side and is a mid so they can't evade it.
if either of the move gets armored through the rage art usually both recover fast to be able to block the rage art
*poke, poke, breaks your leg, pokes, pokes, breaks your leg again*
