Rank Hacking??
I matched with someone who hacks his points in rank, like literally he can erase match history and wins and go back to his original status before losing to me. I wasn't able to save his name (because i forgot and dumb) but here's the story:

I was queuing for a ranked game(Byakko) then i matched with this Devil Jin player (Genbu), and it was his promotional chance game and I was near my demotion match. We played around 15 matches i think?? It went to the point that i was at my promotional match for Seiryu then suddenly when i was about to win he rage quit. So i went back to queue, surprise surprise he was my match again but i suddenly noticed his match history went back to its original state (before we played around 15 matches), his wins were reduced (he won a few matches), and he was back at his promotional chance to become Byakko.

I reported his account but was not able to save it since i didn't really plan to post here in the first place. I'm just curious how was he able to do that? Does a hack like that really exists???

Its not really a hack. Tekken stores your rank data locally.

Some people abuse this to back up their save file and turn it back to what it was before demotion. In a nutshell, boosting to high ranks.

Kinda pointless. Mostly annoying.

No hack. Save scumming works here.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

It is frustrating. It is one if the many reasons why serious players don't care about online rank. It's pointless when anyone can boost. If I had a dollar for everytime someone save scrums or boosted in this game (it works on console as well) I could have my own Tekken cabinet in my house in a month...

And I don't really get their motivation. What's point if they are going to get destroyed anyway?

My problem with it is that sometimes it can be hard to tell if the person is gonna be interesting to play or not. It takes several games to see if they are just struggling with the matchup or are a booster who won't be able to make a comeback.

Actually i just remembered that i matched with that guy before when i was at a lower rank around warrior i think, and i thought that he really isn't playing at that kind of level even if we played a lot of matches. So i guess that was the reason he got so high in ranked matches. Thanks for answering my question @NO ITS CALCIUM

There is no fun in doing this. Whoever does this is a braindead tryhard.
Sooner or later they will reach a rank that is way out of their league, so it does not matter much.
More than anything, they are easy win for you.

The only thing that really grinds my gears are people who do not play ranked or reset their ranks. It is very common to find a "begginer" with over 1000 wins in quick match. They absolutely destroy people who just started with the game. :ccskull:
I bet 60-70% do save scumming. They bad at the game but hey everyone can be Tekken god Prime awsome.

Iam not suprised, ppl are scumbags and use any advantage they get to ruin honest players fun XD

But whatever Bamco will do nothing against that :D
don't worry about it
just focus on getting your own skill better

You personal skill doesnt matter against cheater like macro user, if you watched the video you even can turn off enemy tailspin........

As a honest player you can only come so far. Except youre a pro then you can even beat auto block and auto low parry. But for normal player its like playing against a auto aim hacker in counterstrike.

You would make a great point, if this hack was widespread.
It's not widespread.

I make already a good point because if you look at the views it will be soon enought.
And my point doesnt vanish cuase 50% are not commen yet, still macro user and so on are already widely spread.

some players edit their savefile for rank.

another ( too me ) edit file just WHEN my opponent was bot or tollbot or using dashscript. yeah, i dont give some dashscript junkies a win. I leave at all :-D
