Is Nina worth the hellish effort put in to play her properly?
Or is my time better spent elsewhere?

She is an incredibly deep character-especially at higher levels...The issue is she offers so much-But so little of it can be used for more than one or two things at a time.

She has a plethora of amazing options and answers to threats both offensively and defensively, but you need to have upmost MU knowledge and a deep understanding of fundamental tekken mechanics and features to be able to win at high level consistently.

She demands execution currently not existent in any player so far... except maybe OnlyPractice. He's pretty much the best human Nina player alive.

And in case anyone's wondering, yes, he's Korean. So no surprises.

As for her gameplay worth, it depends on what you really want to get out of her. And that goes with the rest of the characters.

I have to agree with mainmanswe.. i played Nina in just a few minutes and i rank up twice without even trying. Her strings is plus on block and endless mix ups. She crushes like nuts, she is slightly difficult but she has so many easy ways to launch and get big damage. She has so many useful tools, for a character that has so much of good, execution is nothing, you get better the more you play. In contrast with characters that are difficult in execution ,let alone terrible tools or just midly average, you cant compare with Nina.

People used to say Noctis was hard lol.. they say he was weak and useless in higher levels.. blatant bs..

Yeah Nina is just another character with hard combos, outside of iws1 loops she is one of the easiest characters, and there are options outside of iws1 for combos. Her gameplay in the neutral is actually unga bunga and she doesn't take much fundamental skill to succeed with, very cheap character.

Bryan, Eliza, Geese, Akuma, Jin, Lee and Kazuya are the only 'hard' characters in Tekken 7.

You lost me at Geese.

Ask yourself if you like Nina more than the rest of the cast, if the answer is yes then this is a no-brainer. If you have doubts, go play someone that you like more than her.

Any character can be worth it if you truly love them.

its always worth if u enjoy the character, if not then try another....all those time that u spend on that charcter wont be a waste anyway, at least u have confident on facing Nina since u main her before incase u change ur main....

Do you want to live off of tournament prizes? Then no. Otherwise, yes.

erh, Eliza is pretty easy and Jin too. He literally has Mishima moveset with the "best default" moveset in the game. Just takes very little mechanics, but those stick for good when you learn them, mental game is the hard one.
Lee is easy untill you get in very high ranks where people have labbed him 99% and then still you could prob cheese with some crushing move.

Depends on what you want, she is a fun and challenging character if you are looking for one, but not a tournament winning one.

This is garbage, he just showed some people who don't know anything about Nina and abused their match-up knowledge, you can do that with any character.

Character are judged with their performance against decent, knowledgeable players, not against ignorant ones who can't deal with green rank move like can opener.

And no one other than morons ever said Noctis was hard, ever. Actually I don't think even morons said that.

Nina doesn't do well at the tournament level so i'd say no not worth it.

That's because it's nearly impossible for a human to achieve her vast execution demands, particularly her sidestep cancels. Most players just don't want to deal with how they have to be very spastic to use her to her utmost capacity. She's kind of like a character designed for AI, something like Skynet-esque AI.
