Any tips in how to play Armor King?
I bought DLC (A. King, Geese and Julia) for EVO discounts and I always loved how A. King looked so I decided to learn him, coming from Claudio which is pretty easy I find hard to interrupt my opponents. I checked through the movelist with Tekken Bot Prime and couldn't find a fast normal besides jabs. I have seen JDCR using df1 to hit mid but when I try it I get hit instead due to it being like 13 frames. I am scrubby Expert/Master player and maybe A. King is too hard for a beginner like me.

I thought of maybe trying Geese and Julia and then retry A. King when I have more experience. I wanted to try Steve as well but I thought that I should learn more about the game before trying him since he seems advanced.

Don't play him as if he's Kazuya with a giant swing and a hopkick, like 90% of A. King players.

^That guy is right. AK is really hard, but you can move through green ranks easilly with snake edge. Don't forget that b1 is 12f ch launcher. Also you might want to learn wavedash if you like the character.

I know he plays like Mishimas and I can't wavedash nor KBD properly but I hope with practice and experience I will learn them someday. I didn't play any actual Mishima yet but I know they share the wavedash so I don't know about a gameplay yet. I don't want to play Brian yet.

Would you advise me to try other chars and learn the game better before trying him again them? I can only do jabs to save me from pressure and feel other moves are too slow to even try. With Claudio I can do other stuff while being pressured.

Dont always panic jab...most decent players will pickup on that and punish you in different ways for it.

It sounds like you may need to take a few steps back and really reexamine your base skills and fundamentals in the game before expanding to new characters...

I should learn how minus they are then. I can't seem to get out of corners in those situations and feel jailed, specially when I play against Kazumi players.

The best way to deal with corner traps and bad situations on the wall is to try and do everything you can to not get stuck on the wall to begin with.
Normally sidestepping is limited on the wall, so pokes are a good method to try and stop pressure. The issue with your example, is that if I spam jabs when in a corner, you risk high crushing moves, power crushes, manual ducking and high evasion attacks all hitting you on counter hit.

That leads to wall bounces (potentially based on MU), wall splats, and a potential reset with oki in the same situation you were just in...Sometimes it is better to honestly wait it out for a few seconds and then watch what the opponent is doing and problem-solve the best and safest exit strategy away from the wall.

If they constantly go for mids, block one (that is hopefully -9 in a perfect world ) and then poke, if they go low, crush it or try and block if you can and then escape after a punish (optimally with a knockdown of course). There are numerous ways out of wall pressure situations- It really matters what MU and what skill the opponent has who's trapped you there honestly...

Thanks for the tip bro, my issues is a general issue instead of an issue with A. King. I seem to suffer in neutral as well as only jabs seem fast enough for poking. I will try to stay defensive and analyze if I am able.
