Report a translation problem
I did go through the combo list but nothing really seemed to 'click'. I appreciate your advice but was hoping someone could give some pointers for things that work well with him that won't go over the head of a newb.
Check out the screw moves in movelist, they have an ikon. They are the moves that make opponent fall on their head when you hit them while they are airborne with the screw attack.
LegendaryMihawk did good staple combos for beginners on every single character. There are notations and their explanations in the video too. Even slowmotion for better understanding. When I started playing Tekken all his staple combo videos helped me alot.
You should also check the movelist. Im not sure of any good Paul guides but hmu in case you have questions.

Any launcher > b1 2 > Deathfist (You can add " 3 2 " before " b1 2 " for more damage I think).
