Good luck with backdash cancels.
Same for Xbox controllers-like, where Dpad and Left stick are swapped.
Go for a PS4 controller, probably being native on release, thanks to the support from Valve.
If you need a peripheral purely for fighting games (you seem to be use to keyboards.) You might be interested in Hitbox arcade sticks.
I do think Tekken suits a traditional arcade stick. If you really want to get serious, things such as EWGF, wave dash, back dash cancelling etc are easier to do on stick.But... You'll be starting from scratch; Hence might take a while to learn
With a fightpad, you can use fingers other than your thumb to make hitting different buttons and multiple buttons easier. It does take some getting used to, but that'll happen any time you change your control setup. There's some fightpads out there such as the Fight Commander which have 6 face buttons instead of 4, which make it a bit more convenient to use multiple fingers too as you have more space on the controller for your hand.
But if you want to keep it casual (play some minutes and then ALT-F4) you can still play with a keyboard

Cuz thats not gonna happen, half of my reason to buy tekken 7 will be null.
But if u are looking to have 2 players play on same keyboard (provided tekken gives that kind of support), then go for a keyboard with numpad, and atleast 20 kro.
I believe it will, you have always been able to play 1vs1 on a console so why should't it be possible on PC ? you just need different keybindings, otherwise just connect an controller and the other plays on keyboard
