Good cheap arcade stick for tekken ?
The hori seems good but some reviews are bad and I don't wanna fork out 100 dollars Canadian for an arcade stick. Which works best for tekken. Sorry for bad English

You can customize it with graphic templates and even upgrade with some custom SANWA custom buttons and sticks.

It´s high quality, good weight and you can use it on other consoles. ( but need to plug in a controller with the stick)
Keep an eye out for black Friday deals for a good stick if I were you. I bought a Hori Fightstick Mini because I didn't want to fork out for a stick but it broke within about two weeks of average use. The buttons were super spongey as well and needed to be hit with a lot of force (which isn't an issue for me but probably would be for most people). And Hori are one of the higher quality brands, so I imagine the cheaper brands' budget sticks will be even worse.

At the moment I'm using a Hori RAP V Hayabusa which is really good. It was about £120 (it's the Nintendo Switch version as there weren't any other Hayabusa sticks at the same cost) which is more than I was initially willing to pay but it has the components and build quality of a stick twice the price.

In the mean time I'd recommend just using your keyboard if you weren't already, as they're surprisingly good for fighters, especially if they're mechanical. If anything Tekken is harder on stick a lot of the time because rather than a normal dragon punch motion you'd have in Street Fighter (where you quickly draw a 'Z' with the stick) you have to go forward, release the stick to neutral, and then do a quarter circle forward, which I've found is so frustrating I've avoided characters that rely on those sort of moves. On a keyboard though you might find it really easy and still have the attack buttons be clearly laid out flat like an arcade stick.

Keep with the mayflash. below 80 bucks it´s a damm fine stick. and if you wanna go a step higher you can mod it.

Also a fair strategy if the stick is modable and you don't mind some mild electronics work.

The Fightstick Mini is very reasonably priced for what it is, but in my experience the build quality wasn't there.

One other thing to consider is a fight pad. The Hori Fighting Commander pads have a good rep and cost less than a stick. Theyve got purpose built dpads and face buttons, and although I'm not sure is prefer it overall for fighters in general they might be ideal if you like using a pad (which Tekken has always felt almost designed for, especially with the weird dragon punch motion I mentioned earlier, which would actually be super easy on a pad)

The D-PAD from the XBOX One pad is damm good for tekken. and the most pc pad gamers own one. ONE pad is way better then 360. you could also use playstation, because...oldshool ^^ I´ve heard bad reviews from the Hori mini fight stick. thats why i bought the mayflash. 60-80 bucks and you will not regret this. but still: the official sticks from hori, 100 bucks up are still a little bit better because of the high quality buttons and sticks. but if you are a starter first try with mayflash and try to get a sense for sticks. because you need time to get used to it. look on youtube for maflash fight sticks reviews. i tell you, they are good for the price.

From Canada too, get a HORI RAP4 or RAP5.
They work for PC + XB /// PC + PS3 + PS4

Hori Pro N is the best bang for the buck in my opinion. MainManSWE apparently uses it too(i had mo idea).
But its straight Japanese arcade equip for 140$ if you can get it on sale its a str8 steal.

His wish is not to spend 100 bucks and you recommend him arcade sticks that cost way more than 100 bucks. so stupid.

Appreciate the help dude about to order a mayflash off Amazon. Been a pad player for a while now hopefully I'll get use to it sooner or later.

I did that too.

His wish is to buy a fightstick you recommend him a D Pad, autistic.

Also OP somehow does not come off as a "modder" idk, just a feeling.

I was referring it to him in situation of a "sale under 100$", and I'm actually doing him a huge favor by suggesting it. Its highest Tier in parts already build for the money. Not my words, Just saying.
Doktor Pacman Nov 22, 2017 @ 1:09pm
i did not recommend a D PAD in particular. i was talking to the other guy who was talking about the hori fight pad which has not a good reputation.

Yeah your recommended sticks are really good, but...waiting for a sale? if he wants now one? how long should he wait? even japanese import comes with huge taxes.

or Hori Pro N? damm in europe it costs 170 bucks. Way overprized.
