At the moment I'm using a Hori RAP V Hayabusa which is really good. It was about £120 (it's the Nintendo Switch version as there weren't any other Hayabusa sticks at the same cost) which is more than I was initially willing to pay but it has the components and build quality of a stick twice the price.
In the mean time I'd recommend just using your keyboard if you weren't already, as they're surprisingly good for fighters, especially if they're mechanical. If anything Tekken is harder on stick a lot of the time because rather than a normal dragon punch motion you'd have in Street Fighter (where you quickly draw a 'Z' with the stick) you have to go forward, release the stick to neutral, and then do a quarter circle forward, which I've found is so frustrating I've avoided characters that rely on those sort of moves. On a keyboard though you might find it really easy and still have the attack buttons be clearly laid out flat like an arcade stick.
Also a fair strategy if the stick is modable and you don't mind some mild electronics work.
The Fightstick Mini is very reasonably priced for what it is, but in my experience the build quality wasn't there.
One other thing to consider is a fight pad. The Hori Fighting Commander pads have a good rep and cost less than a stick. Theyve got purpose built dpads and face buttons, and although I'm not sure is prefer it overall for fighters in general they might be ideal if you like using a pad (which Tekken has always felt almost designed for, especially with the weird dragon punch motion I mentioned earlier, which would actually be super easy on a pad)
They work for PC + XB /// PC + PS3 + PS4
But its straight Japanese arcade equip for 140$ if you can get it on sale its a str8 steal.
Also OP somehow does not come off as a "modder" idk, just a feeling.
I was referring it to him in situation of a "sale under 100$", and I'm actually doing him a huge favor by suggesting it. Its highest Tier in parts already build for the money. Not my words, Just saying.
Yeah your recommended sticks are really good, but...waiting for a sale? if he wants now one? how long should he wait? even japanese import comes with huge taxes.
or Hori Pro N? damm in europe it costs 170 bucks. Way overprized.
