Transistioning to stick learning curve is no joke. Looking for players in the same boat.
Decided to take the plunge on a stick. Was never a expert in the first place but the learning curve struggle is real so just looking for cool folks who are in the same boat and would like to work on the transistion with some fun easy going sessions. Have a mic, in central time US. Take it easy..

I got a stick too and just spending all my time in practice mode. movement on a pad was easy but the button inputs were bad, now on a stick the button inputs are good but the movement is hard.. lol..

I switched to a bat top and a heavier 2 pound spring for these old fat hands and movement has tightened up quite a bit. Other then that it's just going to be practice, practice practice.

when you are doing nothing, like watching a movie or whatever, sit with your stick on your lap and do motions and tap the buttons.

That's a hell of a idea! Wife will think I'm crazy but so what.

I'm doing 20 minute exercises on left and right side on an almost daily basis. You'll get used to a stick quite fast. It'll take some time until you don't need to focus on your stick as much as you do in the beginning though.

ITT: Scrubs.

Honestly, if one struggles to go from pad to stick or visa-versa or to and fro -- in dial-a-Tekken -- then they need more fight-game practice.

The 'best' thing about T7 is that is can be played with both gamepad or joystick, without much difference in performance. Methinks that's why Bamco have kept the game's dodgy gameplay engine as is -- so as to not alienate causal fight-gamers.

i know cuz i tried stick....for me the hardest part about stick was making diagonals comes out

learning curve aside i dislike arcade sticks because they make alot of noise and for that reason i prefer pad.....also pads are cheaper and easier to use so that's another plus

That wont happen. Because the heavy click sounds give you audible feedback. The transition to stick takes time, just keep at it. Its worth it.
And will be a lot more fun as well.

Whats the stick your using?

The hardest part for me was, that i have to move my entire left hand to make small inputs, where as on a controller you only need to move your thumb.
But the input on sticks are so much more precise.
It remains a matter of taste, just take your time to adapt.

No way I'm using a stick, personally. I'm currently using a keyboard and it extremely comfortable. I'm planning to make a custom hibox in the near future, for fun.
