Pretty much, that's why I want to use borderless. When you use borderless, do you see various resoultion options? I only see 1 res option when I use borderless, don't know why though..
We all have this, don't worry, the game actually renders at your desktop resolution when in borderless and simply displays the wrong resolution in the settings. It's a bug.
Not for me, overlay becomes super small and framerate is almost halved. Anyone found a way to set proper resolution in borderless?
Upd.: switched to Windowed first, chose my native 1080p, then switched to borderless and it's working fine. It still says 4K but it's actually 1080p now.
Never heard of this behaviour with borderless/fullscreen/windowed modes before, but great that you found a workaround!
Even though I have a 4k monitor, putting it in borderless would make it a 1440p window. But then I used your solution of putting it in windowed at 4k and then borderless - and it worked!
Bless you friend.
