Are all Chars balanced and legit?
So this is my first Tekken and fighting game. Ive been practicing for the last 15 Hours (no not 15 houra straight over the last couple days lol).

Did yesterday my First online game with a friend that got the Game at the Same time as me.

I lost only one game and i feel pretty confident to try a real online match now, but then i checked out the Leaderboard and i didnt see a SINGLE Lucky Chloe (yes i main her, her attacks are looking really nice to me).

So my Question is, are all Characters balanced or are there some Characters that arent good in High "Level" Games?

I know im far from High Level Play, but i really enjoy this Game so far and i plan to practice alot more but i dont want to waste my Time if Lucky Chloe or some other Chars arent really good against Good Players

yea this game is actually rather balanced. there is a tier list of course. but the tiers are rather close together and even the worst character is tournament viable

Yes, the chars that weren't tournament viable (such as lei wulong) did not make the cut this year, they spent a great amount of time balancing, and there's always 2 year testing period in arcade, and the second release, then console release after that. yes, all characters are balanced, BUT YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER, ALL CHARACTERS ARE SUPER UNIQUE TOO. for example, you may notice you're doing incredibly low damage with lucky chloe, because you don't play her moves like rhythym/to the beat, even her rage art can do 5/8 more damage if you hit 6 just frame inputs, so she's reliant on you having 4-5 bar connection with the enemy, and knowing the timing for every single one of her moves that is to the beat, or to the rhythym(incl rage art).

then you have someone like king with 179+ combos, nearly every wrestling move you can think of, gotta know when to use what, how it affects your hitboxes, when to use your finishers/etc.

if you get this game, here's something you need to know: MOVELIST IS NOT FINAL, IT IS ONLY SHOWING YOU BASIC COMBOS. yes, even king with 179 combos shown has far more moves available to him. Lucky Chloe for example, you press 3 or 4 to extend her rage art damage as I explained earlier to the rhythym, but this isn't said ANYWHERE in the movelist, you have to learn it on your own.... so you usually have 1-3 characters that you main.

probably best way to dwscribe it is every character feels like they could be the main character to their own totally unique fighting game, hell, it's probably akuma fits in so flawlessly with all his mechanics from SF, while feeling just as unique as the rest of the cast!

No they are not. Characters are divided up to low,mid and high tier. If you put two noobs with same skills and which character they use do determine which character would dominate. Even in the pro games, which tier character they use do determine the out come of the game.

Thing is just play Tekken for the graphics and for fun, however i am just really dissapointed that they cant release the Bikini DLC, just sucks.

Are you saying that a noob playing Xiaoyu will always beat a noob playing eddy? doubt that.

anyway what's this about bikini DLC not releasing?

edit: all i can find that Harada said something about SJWs preventing them from coming... however there's also talk about them possibly releasing later as paid dlc instead of being released with the game. the game originally already had the swimsuits in.

The Tier list only count for high skilled player anyway and also isnt the Tier list made in an Arcade Deathmatch with only 100 matches... in Asia. Doesnt tell me much.

Also there are specific Tier Scores... the highest has 187 and the lowest has 178.... wow that diffrence. And look at that Heihachi is 2nd place and Lily is 35th Place.... now put two noobs one Heihachi and one Lily in a duel and i'll bet on the Lily player.

On a diffrent Tier list Steve is S and Lucky Chloe is F.... when to beginner play i again would say Lucky chloe will win.

well all games have tiers dosnt matter teh balance comes from the size of the gap between the tiers. tekken 7's gap is quite small. even the worst character in the game is tornament viable. you cant say that about most fighting games

It's balance. When mastered I believe all characters are strong.
But well there is 'easier' character to use like Paul,Law,Eddy..Tier list don't matter.
Easy != Imbalance

No. It is not a very balanced game. Namco balanced the juggle damage for most characters but that is not enough to call it a balanced game.

Some characters have much better movesets than others. For example some characters like Kazuya can launch from WS while other characters don't have tools like this. On the other hand Kazuya doesn't have a hopekick for Low spammers but he has other tools to compensate for it.

But he also has the best and scariest low in the game CD+4,4_ 4,1. Heihachi doesn't have good lows. His HS is a joke compared to Kazuya and it isn't a NC and is very predictable, if your opponent predicted Heihachi's CD+4,4 prepare yourself for some foul punishment.

These scenarios above only prove that some characters have better chance at victory when compared to others. Does that mean the game is balanced, hell no.

I don't think it is slightly better though. I mainly played Heihachi in older Tekken games, played him in this game but after I played Kazuya I can say he has much better tools than Heihachi.

I think they didn't improve Heihachi as much as Kazuya They didn't put much development on him because he most likely won't be in Tekken 8 after Kazuya thrown him in the volcano

Kazuya was pretty much the best character in TTT2, or at least clearly one of the best. This one is pretty similar, with the exception of not transforming freely and few changes.

This is one of the games where tier list doesn't matter much.
Balancing a game with more than 20 chars in it takes a whiiiile.
