How to do EWGF on Xbox analog stick?
I've been having a lot of trouble trying to do consistent EWGFs using the analog stick on by XBONE controller. Sometimes I can do two in a row while other times I can only get once in 50 tries. I've tried looking for tips on google but those are for using the D-PAD so I was wondering if there were any fellow analog stick players that could help me out?

I play on fight stick but when I played on a controller. I used a d-pad. Using the d-pad is a lot better but if you really want to do it on analog, just know there are no shortcuts. You need to be percise with your inputs. One tip I give out to a lot of people trying to preform EWGF for the first time is to try to time the button input slightly before you think you should. The timing isn't quite what most people think it is.

I suggest you use the dpad, analog stick tend to register directions you didnt meant to press. But on analog should not be that hard

the only advantage to using a pad over an arcade stick is the dpad. Use it.

I've been playing Tekken 6 on the xbox since 2011. I've been using the stick the whole time because the D-PAD feels so clunky on xbox controllers.

I have played Tekken on all three types of controllers (Xbox Default Controller, Hori Arcade Stick, and Keyboard) i have to say, the keyboard is the best to not only do EWGF's, but also any other type of move that uses the same movement strategy as the EWGF. XBOX/PS controllers are absolute garbage for tekken in my opinion. The D-PAD is way to small and uncomfortable, the analog stick is not precise for EWGF's and other movement types, and the buttons are too small and slippery (After long sessions)

The Arcade sticks are better, buttons are way bigger and more comfortable, stick is much more precise, but it just doesnt feel right for me personally, when trying to do multiple different movement types for certain combos, i find it hard to move the large stick around constantly, and i usually end up messing up the chains and getting my ass handed to me.

The keyboard however, is wwaaayyyyyy more precise. It's literally buttons, you cant mess it up unless you press the wrong button somehow. You cant move the keys in a wrong angle causing you to mess up a move, and, EWGF's are 1000% easier to do. Before on the arcade stick/controller, i couldnt even do 2 EWGF's in a row, but with the keyboard, i can do unlimited EWGF's without messing up whatsoever.

Again, this is just my personal opinion coming from a long-time tekken player, but if you're looking for better alternatives, give the classic keyboard a shot, wont hurt.

What's your recommended button layout for keyboard?

Jesus.... that seems nuts.

There's no way that can be possible on an analog stick. That has to be extremely tough on a fightstick just due to the sheer speed needed.

Good luck with the Keyboard. It's bugged at the moment for most people where it just stops working. Hopefully fixed next patch.

I use the normal W,A,S,D for movement.
W for up/move left
A for backwards
S for crouch/move right
D for forward

For attacking i use . ; / '
. as X
; as Y
/ as A
' as B

Thats strange, ive been using the keyboard for over 30 hours and havent had a single error whatsoever. Maybe its the peoples hardware thats causing the errors?

Nope. Many threads here and reddit. I've also tried to figure out the cause. I can just start the game, walk away, come back and the keyboard does nothing. It randomly stops as soon as they start doing a 2nd poll of connected devices. I tried to find a resolution, :steamsad:
