"In a recent interview, Harada stated that Akuma's presence in Tekken is mainly due to the desire of bringing in a proper fight for both Street Fighter fans and Tekken fans, and that a fight of such magnanimity could not possibly occur in a spin-off. Harada also jokingly stated that the development team was also a huge fan of Street Fighter, but were dissatisfied by the story; resulting in them creating this version of Akuma." wikipedia lol

Akuma doesn't belong here. He's a Street Fighter character. The whole fighting style don't fit Tekken. From what I've seen SF battles in most cases look like this: Hadouken -> Hadouken -> Hadouken -> Jump (to avoid opponent's Hadouken) -> Repeat starting from step 1.
The worst thing is that CPU is playing exactly the same.

Eliza is not a Street Fighter character.

A'ight. Sorry, my bad. I didn't play Tekken Revolution, so I thought she actually is. Also, she's at the bottom of the list in Character Customization just like Akuma. I mean, they have seperate line.
Edit: But fighting style is pretty similar to the SF characters.

Yea Namco were just lazy ass they should have created a tekken like akuma with a proper moveset and only a fireball in his rage art or something.
but by the looks of it they literaly just ripped him out of sf5 and dumped him in the game.
I dont even bother fighting akumas online its just backstep backstep fireball fireball.
you can sidestep them but its just a totaly boring ♥♥♥♥ fight its not worth the effort.

I don't know how he's played in tekken but that's defiantly not how you okay him in sf
You must be very aggressive with him and get close to unmesh his deadly combos and shuriuken

That's pretty much how. Akuma is very street fighter in tekken. Which makes him powerful with some things. Jump in, focus attack, super, projectiles. But also makes him highly punishable to sidesteps and he struggles in some aspects. They did an amazing job with him imo.

And to answer the question yes he is cannon and is written into the story in a pretty big way

Watch how the entire SF cast becomes canon in the Tekken universe.

If enough people will complain about Akuma, he might end up doing this and we get more SF characters.
Just like he put in Lucky Chloe, after so many people complained about her.
So do it, complain!

Great akuma always felt he was fit for the tekken universe

Now all I need is a new PC and I'll buy this game
