So just to make sure, even if you have like half the items at 1999 games, 2000 unlocks all? Or what does it exactly mean? Because by getting perfect rounds and such you get unlocks way faster.

The number of battles includes Arcade Battle, Treasure Battle and local versus, irrespective of you win or not.
Even if you have half the items, when you reach 2000, you'll unlock them all except Eliza.

I didn't say I actually finished 2000 battles, but the secret condition is genuine.
In reality, I cheated. I used a trainer or something to modify the number of battles to 2K.

Doesn't bother me, far as I'm concerned people can do whatever they wish with their game.

Long as no cheating is happening in multi it's all gravy.

I don't mind this unlock, I know a lot of people only care to play vs with friends...this way nobody is forced to play modes they hate just to unlock stuff.

You shouldn't even consider NOT playing that mode. Even if you cheat like op. The 2000 battles won't grant you with gold, and there are tons of stuff which are just acquired by means of gold. So yes, you still should play it.

Weird because they were always unlocked, the thing is that they still need gold.
