Adding a server is going to do nothing else than add extra frames of input lag. Even ONE extra frame of lag when compared to a P2P connection in your zone is already enough to not to use servers and instead use P2P. We're talking about a genre where a single frame can mean the difference between being safe and being punished with a combo that can take half of your lifebar.
If your opponent's connection sucks it will suck no matter what you're using, if a server or P2P. Servers wont magically fix anything and the match is still going to suck.
That's not how it works at all either. Steamworks takes care of matchmaking, you know, STEAM SERVERS? This has literally nothing to do with the game using P2P.
This is something that can be on your end, but it's more than likely that the issue is on BandaiNamco their end and they need to fix it as there are a lot of connection issues in T7 for many people.
The matchmaking would've worked the same if the game hosted the matches in servers because the matchmaking coding is what's flawed, not the actual fights. Can you please stop moving the goalpost now?
Because being the first in history to do something stupid is not a good thing? This is like asking why Street Fighter V isn't the first fighting game that requires you to use a keyboard, three controllers and a mobile at the same time just to play with your character.
And Street Fighter V actually has server hosted matches too, but they only happen in extremely rare cases since you know.... P2P is actually better at everything in this case. Most of the playerbase don't even know that they're a thing in that game.
This thread would make sense if something like Overwatch used p2p, but here, I suspect all you guys are trolling or... I don't know...
"Why there are no bicycles with 10 inch cannons? I've seen those cannons on tanks and they do quite fine"
REaly good ... for honor run perfect amd kid cry about lag while this joke is not playable at the moment and fun defend the game .
I think they are not trolling but they don't have a clue. :)
