Arcade stick for Tekken 7
Im thinking on buying one. Ive been playing Tekken on arcades in the 90s. So im not new to the idea of arcade sticks at least at the arcade games saloon. But maybe u guys could help and guide me for some arcade sticks for PC. Ive bought Tekken 7 on PC today and im still downloading it. I have PS3 controllers with necessery drivers but do you think an arcade stick would be better? If so which ones are good or cheap or good and cheap?

Using the Razer Panthera, it's good (wasn't cheap 'cause shipping though).

The Hori Real Arcade Pro 4 (Kai) is considered one of the cheaper arcade sticks but it is just as good as any of the other sticks out there. This stick is also easily available.

I have a TE2+ stick also which was more expensive and i still prefer my hrap4 kai.

Good arcade sticks aren't cheap but they are very durable and can take a beating, if something breaks you can easily replace parts for it.

Having said this the hrap4kai is around €120-150, depending on where you buy it from. You can also buy one second hand for cheaper. Don't bother getting any really cheap sticks because the situation you get then is this:
- You like it but this stick is not up to snuff, breaks easily, can't replace parts on it etc, and thus you buy a better stick eventually(wasting money on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stick and then spending money on a good stick)
- You don't like it, the cheap stick has no resell value.

If you get an arcade stick then just buy a proper one as it keeps its resell value well.
Also get a PS4 stick as most people that play FG's are located on PS4, so if there are locals near you that you want to visit you can use your PS4 stick, it is the tournament standard for every Fighting Game aside from Killer Instinct.

You absolutely do NOT need an arcade stick to play Tekken though, sticks give have no advantage. PS3 controllers are perfectly fine. There are enough tournament players that use PS3 and PS4 controllers.

I have a Hori RAP4 Kai silent and love it. Though it takes getting used to, as there is no feedback on the stick. Also no clicking to annoy others with.

This is a good stick. Not cheap but not too pricey either. A good investment.

Get a Hori, Madcatz, Razer or Qanba stick.I've yet to meet a person that didn't get their stick to work on PC even with W10. The issue more often is that games don't support x-input devices, for this you'll need an input wrapper program, however T7 supports both d-input and x-input devices. Any playstation 3/4 or xbox 360/One stick or controller should work fine on PC.

If not then you can still use an input wrapper program to make it work. I've used it during SFV when it didn't support X-Input.

You can't use xbox devices on playstation without a converter but can on PC, as long as it has an USB it should work, and if it doesn't work somehow then you can atleast try different things to make it work.

Another alternative is the Venom Arcade stick which is the best of the very low budget arcade sticks but the stock parts are not that great. It's only €80 compared to the other €150-€200+ prices. If you are short on money you can buy buttons and the joystick lever indepently and still have spend less money than one of the more common sticks. Though the new lever might not fit perfectly on the Venom and you would need to shave of some space or something of the casing.

Anyway i seriousely suggest getting the HRAP4 Kai, as it is without a doubt the best price-quality stick out there. Remember however a stick is a hevay price investment and you might not like T7 or any other FG enough then gettig a stick is a waste. Also have to emphasize you absolutely do NOT need an arcade stick. It doesn't give you any advantages.

I got a stick years ago because i felt cramped playing on a controller and didn't want to get a new controller every year. An arcade stick can basically last a "lifetime" if well taken care off.

The main parts that do break down are the cable cord which you can solder easily and buttons which you can VERY easily replace.

If you want some "worth the money" stick, can try Qanba stick, not a expensive stick that use Sanwa parts.

If you want a budget arcade stick you can try Venom Arcade Stick, it's cheap but it's decent otherwise it doesn't use Sanwa parts.

Hitbox according to reviews. But it's expensive.

I am a long term stick user and have been looking at a new one.
Unfortunatly the like of a Qanba Obsidian and Dragon are off the table due to being unavailable in europe due to Sony licensing agreements, ;(.

I have narrowed it down to the Hori RAP 4 Tekken 7 edition with full Hayabusa loadout across the stick and buttons
Or the Razer Panthera with the Sanwa loadout, now with the firmware and xinput updates putting it where it needs to be.

Any players here with first hand experince with either of these sticks I would appreciate any input good and bad about either before i pull the trigger on the purchase.
Cheers in advance :chug:
