I use ds4windows to emulate an xinput device on the pc to use my ps4 controller.

Dunno about ps4 but I'm using a ps3 one (dualshock 3) so it would surprise me if it didn't.

But as PaperzMask said, use it with the USB cable. With wireless it is more likely to have lag between the controller and the game.

I'm using a PS4 control with the wireless Sony PS4 dongle (USB) + DS4windows installed on my W10Pro. The issue I'm having is that I get Xbox control layout on the menu of Tekken and in the game. How can I change that to Playstation control layout with Playstation buttons showing in the game instead of Xbox?

I don't think you can. I've been using the ps3 controller on my pc for years and I've never seen a game that shows the playstation buttons. Not even games with quick time events or ported from PS. You'll have to get used to it, like i did (which is not that difficult, I just learned which color corresponds to which button rather than focusing on the letters), or get an xbox one.

Wait. PS4 controller is officially supperted by Steam, you don't need to use any kind of emulators.

jep. i only have to use ds4 at some games like nier: automata, but normaly it works fine with most games.

Except the steam experimental ps4 controller support screws up some games such as the witcher 3 so I don't use it.

I don't mind xinput icons though, I prefer them over PlayStation ones, better colours.

I am playing Tekken 7 with a PS4 controller (works perfect), just connect the charging cable of the PS4 controller to PC and that's it.
