Keyboard Ghosting Test
Always relevant in regards to fightning games on PC, especially for people without mechanical keyboards.

Key ghosting means that certain key combinations (usually of 3+ keys at the same time) don't work. One or more of the pressed keys do not register.

It's easy to see how this could be a problem for fightning games: if your "Right Punch" key doesn't register when pressed together with your "Left Punch" and "Forward" keys, you'll have difficulties executing some inputs.

This webpage by Microsoft is a quick and practical way to test your keyboard for key ghosting, to see which key combinations suffers from this issue. This might help you find better keybindings (or might make you decide to purchase a mechanical keyboard).

This can also be checked ingame with the "Check Button Input" option on button mapping screen.

Generally speaking you'll end up with problems if you aren't using a mechanical keyboard with nth key rollover.

You could just buy a hitboxarcade controller, which I personally own, but I DID use keyboard for over 6 years in various games.

or spend $80 ($120 less) on a good mechanical keyboard that'll be good for things other than just fighting games, it's literally no different than hit box all things considered. consoles just don't usually use keyboard so it's a good option for them, for us we get mechanical keyboard. instead of hitbox if you were to get a fg peripheral, a good stick would be better

I have a pile of $80 mechanical keyboards that failed, and one $150 keyboard that still works. Get a Ducky Shine 4 or 5, or a Filco board if you plan to get a board. I suggest Cherry MX Reds if you plan to play games and don't type much, if you type alot I suggest getting Cherry MX Blues. Whatever you do, don't buy a Razer board, they break, and have some cheap chinese knockoff keyswitches.

Take it from me, I have gone through 9 of them before I got my 3 year old Ducky.

If you want the full list of makes, models, and reasons of failure, I can disclose it.
