Yes. The d-pad on the Xbox One controller is great in all 8 directions. To tell you the truth I'm more of analog player, but I've used a bit of the d-pad on Xbox One controller and it didn't do my wrong.
If you more use to the PS controller for Tekken, get one of those so you can feel at home. But if you don't really have a preference yet, I'd say go with the Xbox One controller because I feel like its just a better overall controller. Also I feel like doing some of the two button moves are a bit easier to do on the Xbox One controller.
Oh if looking for the Xbox One controller, make sure its the "S" controller, or whatever they call it.
Yeah I have both too. I actually like the D-pad on the Xbox One controller more because it give you a click when you get into a direction, so you get a feedback. The PS4 d-pad get a little mushy feeling after a long play to me.
But I don't dislike either controller for Tekken, I've been playing Tekken since a while ago and I've had Tekken titles from the PS1 to Ps3, Xbox 360 and WiiU so I don't mind jumping from one controller to another, doesn't slow me down. But I defenitely do tend to gravitate toward the Xbox One "S" controller.
