Can my laptop play TEKKEN 7?
I want to buy this game, but I don't know if my laptop can play it. I don't care if it runs on the lowest setting, I just want to know if it is playable here

Intel i5 7200U @2.5Ghz
8GB RAM
920MX

I dont get how everyone is getting such good performance - I have an Alienware 17R3
I7-6820HK 2.7Ghz
16GB RAM
GTX 980M 4GB

I am using the most upto date drivers from geforce experience and only get average 19fps on the lowest settings.

I would love some tips on how to improve this?! Thanks

Make sure the game is not running on your integrated GPU. Force all games to run on dedicated GPU in Nvidia control panel. If that doesn't help, you have to go into your T7 folder, right click the game and choose to run it with dedicated graphics proccessor.

Do you have any external monitor plugged into your laptop ? Just wondering, had an issue with my old laptop once where plugging an external monitor would cause the drivers to treat integrated GPU as dedicated and vice-versa so had to switch them around whenever I played on monitor isntead of internal display.

this game is for 60 fps. you should not be under. you won't be able to connect key frames. 920mx doesn't even sound playable. anyways, you should decrease settings til you get to 60 fps then tell them what they need to do XD

Well, unless he runs dynamic optimisation on, then lowering settings to medum or low should give 60fps. If it does, then I'm really amazed with the port, 920m is close to low-end when compared to cards like 970 or 1060. I wonder how would that work on my old laptop with 630m inside... I guess I won't want to even check that.

i don't think it will work, i have 860m, far better in specs than 920mx. i have to play 1600x900 med textures med shadows, all else low, off anti aliasing for 60 fps. (rendering scale seems broken, otherwise it works at 1920x1080 75 render scale same settings, hope we get a patch to fix render scale soon!)

and dynamic adjustment is crap from what i've seen, causes lag as it changes the texture, like outright freeze, as it loads the lower res texture or whatveer

Honestly, I have an even crappier Nvidia GT 740M on a 3 years old-not gaming ready-laptop... and the game runs almost steadily at 60fps [WITH LOW SETTINGS!!!]

Thanks for your help everyone - I did a clean installation of the graphics drivers and verified the files in steam. Following a full power off reboot I am now getting 60fps using ultra and dynamic adjustment off!! Very strange but my laptop must have been the issue not the game.
Thanks again everyone - have a great weekend!
