Steam overlay not working in Tekken 7
Found a rather irritating bug...

The steam overlay isn't working when in T7. This means no looking at other players profiles to add players who give a good fight. It also means I can't invite friends, and to top it off I can't even access the store from within game.

I already checked the game properties through stream, and the overlay is enabled. When I tried to bring up the overlay, nothing happens. If I try to go to the store, the menu options disappear for a split second, then come right back.

This is the only title this happens on. Every other game works fine in this regard.

Any ideas?

:::SOLVED::::
This title doesn't like MSI Afterburner running in the system tray. You must exit that for the overlay to work in Tekken 7.

Make a thread for your issue, as it has nothing to do with this one.

GTX 1070. My system is far above the requirements.

did you update the drivers? the lastest drivers are optimized for tekken

EDIT: GTX 750ti here and no problem

this has nothing to do with gpu -_-

It is definitely not a gpu issue, or a issue with my hardware or drivers, as if it was the issue would occur with other titles as well. This ONLY happens with tekken 7.

it can be the problem actually, the other reason can be config issues.

Blaze, if it was an issue with my set up, it would happen with other steam titles as well.

I have over 450 Steam Games and only for Black Desert Online do I have to run ventrilo as administrator because of a conflict with Steam. I think first and foremost you should look at your setup as there could be something running in the background that's conflicting with Tekken in some way.

As an aside I have no issue using the Steam overlay whatsover in this game and I also use a GTX 1070 (FTW for what it's worth). I doubt it's the gpu or drivers as well.

Does the overlay work in other Steam games?
For me my overlay didnt work because I had an otherlay running (the one that comes with MSI afterburner). When I turned that off the Steam overlay worked again.

Do you run Steam as administrator? I remember that for another game (I think it was Mass Effect) it would require Steam to be run as administrator for the overlay to work with the game. Maybe it's the same issue here. Just an idea.

This happened to me too, I think it has to do with your controller, when I switched back to my keyboard it worked.

Steam is always run as admin on my system.

Solved the issue btw. Tekken 7 doesn't like MSI Afterburner being run at launch. Exited that and the overlay now works fine.

Thanks everyone!
