Mitos.is: The Game

Mitosis is a pay to win game.
Before I explain my suggestion on game improvements I would just like to say that I like playing mitosis. My request for a even better game is motivated by the desire for a better playing experience for all, especially in random team mode. I have been a L79 player for a while and regulary "win" with my team in random team mode.

Though mitosis is "free" to start playing the game, below are the reasons why it's not free to win.

1. Equipment that costs thousands of coins give the player extra speed etc. An essential for success in Miotis as you can quickly gobble up slower players.

2. Evolutions cost thousands of coins which again give the players extra speed, virus resistance and other abilities. Thus paying a significant amount of money to buy these extra things is a requirement if you want to compete at a high level in the game. Ofcourse you can collect coins whilst playing but it would literally take years (if at all) to collect enough coins to reach a diamond evolution and have the extra euipment.

Mitosis is a pay to win game!.

It is true that any online game has overhead costs such as servers, developers etc etc. Thus the game needs to make money so as to stay online. The usual capitalist/commercial model of having money to get ahead isn't ever going to provide a fair experience. So below is my sugesstion on how mitosis can generate funds whilst not currupting the fairness of play.

Suggetions to improve game experience and make the game a skill to win game.

1. A equal random team mode. All players start the same size and have the same speed (split to increase speed). No equipment that gives players a unfair advantage (where is the fun in playing a rigged game). Feeling you win by skill is more satisfactory than "winning" because you have purchased something.

Money can be generated for the devs by using alternative features that do not bias the game in anyones favour. For example, some cosmetic add ons etc.

It would be a nice change to play a fair game that wasn't about how much money an individual could reap.I'm not sure if the devolopers are still actively developing this game anymore or not. So this suggestion may fall on deaf ears. But it's worth a try as equality is the higest morality humans can ever achieve.

What he said ^

There's even an XP boost that costs 4800 coins (I think) which instantly takes you up to the XP level 70 and gives you sapphire evo with a decent Equip set.

I have always obtained full armor when new equips came out throughout time, without having to buy any coins and that's back when evos cost alot of coins and when XP Boost didn't exist and Seasonal Rewards weren't a thing.

The game priortized non-p2w players at some point by adding XP Boost, Today's Special, Diamonds & Emeralds and increasing the amount of coins obtainable by completing Daily Quests or exchanging 500 Diamonds. There's even seasonal rewards now. And you can get free potions if you invest in Laboratory or by feeding Events' special collactable items (like Easter Eggs, Candy Cones etc...).

The no equips idea was already tested before when they made No Equipment Day, the feedback was so negative that the dev had to take it away before due time (should've lasted 24hrs, not just a few).

I still agree that Mitosis is a p2w game, and the p2w side can't just be thrown away.
That all just sounds like nice marketting spin and many people buy into that" You can do this or buy that or drink some mythical potion to climb the ladder of success. And mitosis, plus may other games have this format.

At least could'nt people concede that a "equal for all" random team mode (additional to the current random team mode) , would be a good way to test your playing skill on a level playing field?.

As another exmaple, 2 players both equally matched in skill level. The one whom buys addional weapons ,for example rejoin, increase speed for short time, blink etc will have a higher chance of winning that is not based on skill level.

A level playing arena tests your real skills.
