Are the Porutu extremely underpowered?

The poison skills under Devil section do not work. I am level 54 and i have 3 posion skills. They hit for like 1 / 8 / 15 damage per second, respectively. To any monster. And my strongest posion skill hits a warrior for 50 damage per second in the arena, (me and the other guy had quest equipments).
So, poison skills are probably bugged or not allowed for PVE?
And i can't take quest accessories.
And there isnt any good explanation for my weapon choices. Most people suggest getting Dual Wield weapons (like spear + axe).
Will there be an official guide or improvement or something? Or is that a garbage class?

Iirc the poison skills are based off your elemental damage. Last i read the best weapons you can get for the class is dual hanguk swords.

My suggestion is to try and reskill to the other tree and use a 2h weapon untill you can get some good dual wield weapons with some good elemental damage on them.

A lot of the portu skills do crap damage on mobs. Not real easy to exp on a portu unless you have a party to carry you pretty much. But the skills do tonsdamage to players. You have a skill called divine armor wich cuts a players defense in half and you hit them with all your dots and they're pretty much dead. It is best to use dual wield. I personally use a tooth and a chaos niebros on another sever and a full hp set as str doesn't do much for a portu. Just play around with it Portus are a real fun class to play for Pvp just not so much while exping.

i see. thanks for both answers. so, does the str stat increase DOT damage from Devil tree poison skills? (ranged poisons) and does MP increase the dot any bit?

Mp does nothing for the portu period. Str increases it some but not significant. The majority of your dot damage will be based on your weapon choices.

okay, can you specify the dual wields? is the type of elemental damage important? like, poison damage is more effective on porutu than lightning damage or something like that? or is there any relevant weapon type which increases the dot even more? like wielding dual axes or dual swords, is weapon type improtant or only elemental damage and ap?
and can the left hand weapon AP increase dot damage? (since it doesnt increase regular AP)

That's I don't really know. Flame damage has always done the most damage. I personally use a chaos niebros and a tooth. Niebros for the curse tooth for the hp bonus and both have flame damage. Niebros isn't available yet so something like a speak of murky waterworks be second best. There's a lot of different opinions on weapons that's just what I found I like best. 1h spears can only be equipped in the main hand also.
