Quick question
In monster quest, the scrap steel, bitter mana piece and nest scrap drops. Is there any use for them?

Scrap of Steel and Next Scrap are used in order to craft a normal accessory from 3 old accessories.
You can see the formula at the NPC named [jewlery worker] jewel, located at Moradon castle @919, 644

Bitter mana piece is used for a chat quest at Eslant.

another noob question. the gems from juraid mountain raid. what are they for and where do i use them?

You could exchange them at the Chaotic generator which is located at the back of Moradon castle (@851, 781).

Some players prefer to sell it for in-game coins instead but some prefer to exchange it, it's a matter of preference really.

Besides, black & silvery gem is also used in the process of creating Dark Knight weapon but it's not fully functionally in SteamKO yet.
