Like.. Why can't you guys make simple fixes to the game?
The game has such simple bugs and such simple hot fixes and just rewording things and reworking a few tool tips and the game would actually be a good game.. like i can make a list of things

Get rid of apples and actually make it so you to farm the mobs the quest ask for so people actually have to do something.

Make it so melee mobs dont attack you from a mile away so you die for no reason.

Make it so quests actually give the full rewards it says its going to, half of them dont give the extra weapons and it really screws you while you're leveling.

Make it so the bulletin board in linart village works so you can actually do those quests to level.. maybe make a cap on it at 65 or something. it makes it actually worth farming mobs outside of eslant and doing quests and side quests and stuff so everyones not always crowded in one place. theres no reason it shouldnt work.

Theres something called a pedal in chaos battle? Idk what it is but its rigged and needs to be banned. Theres a guy on my server who literally plays in every single chaos battle and is on top by far, theres a few of them but one guy in particular, and its silly they can do 8k damage in one swing because they cast every skill at once. breaking the speed of the game is rigged.

Make it so mages arent the worst thing in the world unless they have a transformation scroll. the fact that i cant cast a skill because im not a flaming skeleton makes no damn sense, and it doesnt apply slow effects fast enough to pull mobs because they start to run at mac speeds for no reason after i cast blizzard.

Make it so mobs cant walk through walls so you cant hit them, and not just walls, i mean any object, rocks, trees, a random hill, like oh my god its so dumb.

The tool tip for skeleton belt says it gives 50% attack damage, yet it literally does nothing. nothing at all. I bought a worthless item. Even if it actually gave 5% it would be at least something of value beacuse 50% is just rigged and would be absolutely broken. But yeah, the item does nothing and neither does any other item that says it gives attack power so idk why you cant just remove the tool tip to stop confusing other players.

some quests tell you to kill one mob but mean to kill another mob, aka the manticore hunts and other ones.

maybe nerf the health on the mobs? or maybe make it so lower level people do a little bit less damage? it goes from being super easy because you have this mid game weapon and you kill every mob in one hit and then once it gets to about ash knights it becomes incredibly difficult because mobs start doing 300+ a swing, theres 2+ on you at most times, and they have 10x the health than before so you have to spam potions to kill them, on top of that, about 60% of my skills miss and only do 75 damage a swing, so i have to use my most expensive skills and spam more potions.

tooltips :harpy poison:it says "0 seconds remaining" plus they can stack it on you and it ticks for 100 damage a second, which is rigged, plus you dont know how many stacks are on you or how long it actually lasts. pierce and thrust both say they have no chance to fail, yet they always fail, and so does spike, so a rogue becomes useless, plus the damage bonus % lies. poison arrow does no damage, flame arrow does no damage, neither of them say how much damage theyre supposed to do.. like why? Everything should be able to scale to effectively level, but they literally do like 60 damage a tick and arent effected by flame or poison damage on your weapon, and if they are its definitely not a significant enough amount. you can just scale how much they do to players and mobs differently so its still fair across the board.

Flame ring, imir ring, the glaciar one, neither of them actually add any real damage to your lightning damage weapon or flame damage weapon, why does it say it adds flame damage but it doesnt do anything, makes no sense. Like why cant items just do what they say theyre going to do and why cant you guys just balance some items out so itll make the game more fun.

there are only like... 1 item per class worth buying because your class is literally useless without them. some of the gear and items people have from 50-75 are just absolutely insane compared to others. shards, raptors, iron bows, iron impacts, those are the only items worth using anymore until youre good enough to afford actual amazing unique gear, its so unfair and unbalanced. creating some items or at least making those "high class" items that are worse than the top tier, downgrade them to middle class so theyre worth upgrading, because spending 2.5m on a mirage dagger to upgrade it it where you're literally chancing only to make your money back if it breaks, its literally so useless.

providing a list on the magic anvil on the percentage of chance to upgrade would be nice so at least you know what youre getting into.

why dont you list the items on what you can get out of red chests or abyss gems or any chest for that matter and etc, so that you know what youre chancing and if its worth it.

a bunch of the quests you cant even turn in for whatever reason.

the amount of lag and rubber banding is insane, why cant the servers be upgraded a little bit.

the drop rate of some of the quest items especially the ones that cant be traded, aka hell hound hunt, is absolutely horrible and putting yourself through the excrutiating pain of the grind is just inhumane.

apostles and deruvish are impossible to kill unless youre ranged, forcing people to have to party with others for a simple quest just isnt fair, you should be able to solo most things, yet its almost impossible once you hit eslant unless you're really geared because mobs are just incredibly strong.

some better beginner tool tips would be nice like dissembling things would have been nice to know early or how to get to achievements for monster stones.

looting things in an aoe racing to loot things is just dumb, like how many items have been lost because of that, enabling chests to last longer or make it so theyre despawned upon looted at least would be fair to all.

not being able to stack items like monster stones when its like impossible to do it on a mage or priest is stupid because they jsut take up a ton of inventory slots, especially since there are a ton of items for whatever reason that cant be traded, stored or sold so its like.. wow my 30 slots that i have goes down to 15 with pots and quest items, so i have to go back every 15 minutes of farming.

dead corpses are either standing in place sometimes or they tank hits for no reason like intercepting projectiles or making it so you cant move past them and it keeps retargetting them, especially in chaos. sometimes a mob is hitting you while its dead, for no reason.

Dexterity doesnt actually increase your chance to hit or if it does its an absolutely minimal amount because all of my rogue skills fail just as much as my warriors, but my warriors chance to hit is still just ridiculous, like why do i hit for 75 5 hits in a row? why doesnt dodge work, why dont things display like what your chance to hit is and it actually work? again, more tool tip fixes and just making things do what they say they do.

just fixing simple things that say one thing that mean another thing like "ronark land, 70+" when its really 60.

not knowing if a mob is good or not. what am i supposd to do look up every mob i want to fight on the internet? why cant there be some explanation about how much damage or life it has so you know what youre up against?

mobs agro radius is ridiculously large, and some much larger than others.

not being able to see buff duration or rebuff over buffs is stupid.

theres also a huge lack of tooltips like just hovering over some things doesnt describe anything and some does.

theres just simple things other games have or things you can fix within a couple of days that would make the game awesome. yet its been on steam for like a year or so now and its the same thing its been for the past 20 years, actually worse because myko was actually a decent game. i love knights and i think the pvp is somewhat decent but its literally just endless grinding because there still arent enough quests and you have to bust your ass to do the same things repeatedly in which half of the things are broken and you cant do it so you have to struggle. like especially on a lower populated server. Please just dont say "we'll look into it" and never address anything, because i actually have been playing this game avery long time and think it could be a good game if just taken care of minorly.

Really? No reply. The only thing that has been changed that you guys decided to work on is changing my favorite mobs name from loup garou to lugaru, like why, why is that the importance that is focused on when there are so many minor bug fixes

I don't really know much about game dev but their main problem is the spaghetti code. Like, they fix a bug -> ten more appears so they have to be careful.

As Seipnir said, this title has been edited countless times by many different coders, and even simple changes often break large things in other parts of the game. Go ask the guys working on the original EQ how easy it can be to make a quick fix.

Devs are working on things as quickly as they can, but sometimes the most simple things can be maddiningly hard to fix, or would require such large back end changes that to make work that it becomes counter-productive to new content or fixing critical issues.

Your frustrations are noted though, and this is by no means an out of hand dismissal of them. I'm sure other staff will also read this post. We appreciate community feedback.

I tried to be nice for the most part and I know I wasn’t and I’m sorry for that. But man I’ve literally wasted like years of my life into this game and for some reason.. it’s just never been fixed even though I see hundreds of people who put money into this game a month lol. Like more than actually popular great games. It astounds me. But because i don’t buy DC premium, I’m short handed. If I buy dc premium will the game work better all of a sudden? Like it’s so frustrating because I don’t mind putting like 10 or 20 bucks a month into the game. But why when I literally don’t see anything being done..

We play this game because it is what it is. It is an old game, therefor more bugs and issues than new games.
How many other F2P mmo's has been alive for this long?

Just compare with the new Runescape Graphics for example, the game went very boring and they had to make an option for players to play on old graphics.

SteamKO PUS is pretty expensive tho. A decreased PUS item cost will make us spend more and NTT earn more. It's a great win/win situation.

dreams and reality ... pretty sure if given the chance alot of ideas and suggestions would come out of this beautiful community yet all i see is some price decrease and new events instead of fixing the game itself , ko is dying and every1 is playing pvp's cuz its fair play not pay to play

Cant be that hard to fix bugs that are from 2005. The game runs potatoe level graphics. Dont understand why they cant improve. Hire some real devs then. God know you can afford it.

Whatever happened to Knight Online 2? I know it was created and they named it Kingdom online, it looked rather good, it has all of the pvp features and seemed like it'd be a fun game to replace KOL. It lasted a year then disappared into the abyss, 2013-2014. I guess they canceled it, which is such a shame since it was going to be greenlit on steam. I wish they'd do something with it or sell it instead of letting it rot. I think they wanted to keep the KOL playerbase on KOL and not pull from it so they deicded to do different games, they pretty much switched to mobile games.

steam takes part of the money from sales, so they wouldn't make anymore money doing that.

the company who made kingdom online was gamersfirst, and it is NOTHING like knight online. That company no longer publishes knight online because they were scamming the developers out of money, so their publishing license was revoked, and now NTTgame publishes the game.
