Diamond DA40 - Accessing VOR DME information
Rather than using GPS navigation, I was trying to follow a flight plan by tuning into a VOR and flying a radial for a fixed distance. Tuning the VOR and setting the radial were easy but I cannot seem to find any way of displaying the associated distance from the VOR. The MFD seems to only show distance to (GPS) waypoint. Am I missing something obvious or has DME not yet been implemented on the DA40?

im not familiar with the g1000 so i havent tested this, but ... in the real world (and in FSX) not all VOR's have DME capabilities, have you tried more than one vor?
maybe look up the VOR in pilotnav.com or some other website to see if it has DME capability, they should be shown as VOR/DME if they do, if they say VORTAC or something else they dont

DME on the G1000 was not implemented in FSX so if it is the same panel then it isn't implemented here either.
The only workaround on the MFD is to go to the fourth page of 'Nearest' where there is a list of nearest VORs
Not very satisfactory but it is all there is!

OK thanks, I'll call off the search.
