Hi guys! Here's some tips on how to deal with any bugs you find. We'll also keep a list of known issues that we're working on.

It's way easier for us to keep track of bugs that you send to our inbox :) Also, we can try to fix it faster if you provide a detailed explanation of what happened (which screen, how did you do that, etc), send us details about your operational system (e.g. Windows version, processor, graphics card) and, if possible, send us your save files.

In Windows, the save files are located in C:\Users\[user]\AppData\LocalLow\Aquiris\HorizonChaseTurbo\[folder with a ton of numbers]

Please check the list of currently known issues, search the forums and read this FAQ before posting a new issue or contacting support.

Q: My keyboard/controller is not working in the title screen. What should I do?
A: A few people have been experiencing loss of control in the title screen. If that happens, please try this solution sent by user Tux:

• Right click the game's name in your Steam library -> Properties -> Set Launch Options.
  
• Write this in the text box: LC_ALL=C %command%

If that doesn't work, please send an email with logs, OS version and your save game file to [e-mail]. Deleting the save file seem to have worked for some people, but it’s not guaranteed (and it will erase your progression). If you really want to do that be sure to back them up. We’re trying to resolve this issue without resorting to erasing progression.

Q: The game crashes/freezes on startup or during gameplay.
A: Please try the following:

• Restart your machine.
  
• Update your video card (GPU) and motherboard drivers.
  
• Make sure your OS has the latest available updates as well.
  
• Try turning off your anti-virus or adding an exception to the game executable.
  If running on Windows, try using the Windows compatibility options to run the game (explained below).

If after that the problem still persists, please send us a contact e-mail with the following information:

• Operating System version
  
• Game log file (it should be called “output_log.txt” and be located inside the “HorizonChase_Data” folder in the game installation path. (See next answer on how to access the game’s local files)

Q: How to run the game with compatibility settings on Windows?
A: Follow the following steps:

• Right click the game on Steam -> Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
  
• Right click the game executable (HorizonChase.exe) and select “Troubleshoot Compatibility”

Q: Does the game support game controller [X]?
A: In principle, for Windows and Mac it should support every controller listed in this page. For Mac, please pay special attention to the note at the bottom of the page: http://www.gallantgames.com/pages/incontrol-native-input-module

For Linux, it should support every controller in this other list: http://www.gallantgames.com/pages/incontrol-supported-controllers

Q: Will you support new controllers in the future?
A: Maybe. We plan on supporting more controllers on Windows and Mac in a future update (especially wireless ones present in the Linux list like the MOGA ones). If your controller is not in any of the lists and/or doesn’t work properly, please send us a support e-mail with the following information:

• Operating System version
  
• Brand name, model and manufacturer of your controller
  
• Name which appears in the system’s Device Manager for the controller
  
• Mapping of each button/axis in the controller to numeric buttons and named axes (e.g. button A shows up in Device Manager as button 1, X as button 2, L1 as button 5, d-pad as POV etc)

This won’t guarantee we’ll be able to support it, but we will try to work on it if possible! (The most people with the same controller, the greater the chance we add support for it)

Q: The game’s framerate is too low. What should I do?
A: Try turning off anti-aliasing and lowering the in-game resolution in the graphics options.

That's if the game has LAN play, where instead of having multiple computers linked to your home network, you can make it think that computers on the internet are in the same network as you...

Okay, this game is fun when it behaves properly, but there are definitely some bugs that need fixing. I'll email a bug report soon.

Funny thing, I just got the Marathonist achievement. I guess I was playing for quite a long time if I could get it with that known issue still standing, hahahaha. This game is consuming my life.

i played it and it was to "easy" and repetetive in my eyes . i didnt like that the enemies only behave drivin in a row and their wasnt a lot of randomness. loved the original 90s arcade game more

Please can someone help, I literally tried everything, this game does not load, it chrashes after aquiris logo, black screen for a few seconds then shuts down. Everything is up to date, running a 1060 6gb ryzen 2600 16gb ram no overclock

sorry i cant help you try clear your steam download cache, i played it on a 512mb graphics card dual core and it worked brilliant . on a new rig shouldnt be a problem playing it
